 Nothing groundbreaking in this post, just me sharing my positive opinions of the DA series.  Despite DA2's recycled environments, the character interactions and story were much more to my liking than DA:O, which while excellent, seemed REALLY generic in a lot of ways.  There are lots of things i'd change, but on the whole I love the DA series and can't wait to see where the 3rd one goes.  Please note this positive post.

I like DA2 as a standalone game. But compared to Origins it's bull ******.

I think I would have lost interest in the DA series if I hadn't enjoyed DA2 as much as I did. You're right, it wasn't perfect, but it was entertaining and for the most part had a compelling story and vastly more interesting characters/companions.

I do expect some people to either be flabbergasted by my opinion, or outright tell me i'm wrong. But, I hope a FEW people can appreciate the good points of DA2 and stop trying to make it like Witcher/Skyrim/DA:O/whatever. I want DA3 to be DA3, and move the franchise forward. Bioware doesn't need to reinvent the wheel, just give me good characters, good plot, and good gameplay, and i'm happy.

I have much the same opinion, especially regarding character interactions and story. That's why I personally liked DA2 better than DA:O, though I enjoy both games immensely.

I know i'm in the minority here, but I was far more dissapointed in DA:O than DA2.  I LOVED DA:O, but it wasn't a classic like i'd hoped.  I think the long development cycle combined with promises of the "spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate" had my hopes in a place the game could never reach.  Still though...I've beaten DA:O 6 times including expansions content.

 I'm trudging through Origins and it's a pain. I hate the Deep Roads and Fade with the power of a thousand suns. I mostly preferred DA2, though many of the complaints are valid and I dislike some of the companions.

But because of ME3 and it's hype machine, I'll be waiting for player reviews before even considering DA3. Won't even allow myself to be cautiously optimistic.

If DA2 was a stand-alone game, it'd be okay. But as a sequel to DA:O? BAD.

Im with you on this. Obviously DA 2 had some issues but i really enjoyed it. I liked the combat, the character interaction, and the whole mage supression thing.  Ive gone back and played DA O since and realized I didnt like it as much as I remembered. Im pretty excited for DA 3.

I was a big fan of DA2 really dont understand some peoples gripes with it. Was a fun game that I enjoyed.

Try searching Dragon Age 3 survey. I believe that's what they're referring to. It supposedly includes text that outlines the world state and goal of the Inquisition. If you don't want spoilers best not to read about it.
