thanks, I'll give that a go. I can't help but spoil myself sometimes.
I liked DA2 and look forward to DA3

Whether someone does or does not like something is unfalsifiable, so we won't bother going into whether or not someone is just right or wrong in how they feel, right everyone!?

DA2 had great content. If they had put that great content into a great game, it would have been great.
But even though it got forced into a game that was fairly weak (at least by BioWare standards), it's still great content.
I look forward to DA3, but I have to admit I'm worried it's not going to feel like DA.

Finally!
I loved DA2, prefer it to DAO. It makes me a sad panda to see all the hate for DA2 here on those DA3 forums

I adore DA2, and I am very excited about the prospect of DA3.

I thought DA2 was fun. Especially how they did the combat. It felt less clunky than DA:O.

I enjoyed DA II too. It wasn't as good as Origins but felt it did do some things better and was willing to take some risks. However it was clearly undermined by its short developement cycle. Nearly all of its missteps can be laid at the feet of it's ridiculous deadline.

I also like DA2, its a great paper weight.
Nah, gameboxes these days, they just dont fill my paper weighting needs.
It was fun to play though.

Quite frankly, I was more bothered by the abandonment of DA2 after two great DLC's that seemed to turn the game around completely. If DA2 had been consistently like Legacy and MotA, it would have been great. Instead, we got some great combat and gems like Aveline put into a more or less short game with soul killing environment reuse.
And when DLC's came and things finally started to get good? The ships were jumped and those of us who appreciated Hawke and his companions got shortchanged knowing that DA3 will bring in a new protagonist, whom I fear may be of the hideously customizable kind instead of the iconic Shepard-like preset.

I enjoyed DA2, what threw it out of sync with DA1 for me was the art change, the darkspawn, character's skins looked off, and the Qunari, it didn't feel doa-ish, absolutely loved the banter tween Isabela and Aveline though, it's a hoot

I love DA2. I don't care if I get flamed. If I hadn't downloaded the DA2 demo on XBL and loved it, I wouldn't have found DA:O. I would probably be sleeping right now, as well.
I'm not saying DA2 is a perfect game. No game is. I think DA2 could have been, in the long run, a much better story had the planned EPs come to fruition, and for that I'm sad that the plug was pulled on the game. That, IMO, is the biggest flaw of DA2.

Dragon Age 2 is my Favourite game of all time, there I said it. I haven't loved a game more ever, really. The Companions are without a doubt to me Bioware's finest. They had so much more chemistry with each other than any bioware game before or after. And their final conversations, ALL MY FEELS

I also enjoyed Dragon Age 2 as well. It certainly had its flaws, particularly the reused areas, but I still enjoyed the companions, the story, the voice acting, and the friendship/rivalry system.

I was mostly disappointed in Origins. I was expecting the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate and thus to love it, but ended up merely liking it. I loved the story and characters, but the gameplay and graphics weren't very good. The combat was slow, clunky, and required too much pausing. I think many people mistook this for tactical gameplay, but all the tactics you needed were:
1)Pick a Mage. You win.
2)If not a mage, spam abilities and occasionally drink a potion.
It was so repetitive, simplistic, and poorly balanced that any lengthy section without much dialogue (like the Fade or Deep Roads) become a slog.
By speeding up the combat and removing the shuffle, DA2 didn't actually lose any of the depth or strategy of Origins. It just removed the illusion that there was anything particularly tactical about it. Instead, it played like a hack-and-slash action RPG with classes that were actually balanced. To me, this was more fun than the shuffling, pausing, clunkiness of DAO.
I also loved the increased emphasis on the companion characters, which is always Bioware's strong suit. Add in the cleaner graphics as opposed to the blurry, mud-stained dirt of Origins and I loved DA2 far more than the original.

I loved DAO and DA2, so I'm already kind of ridiculously excited about DA3. Also, I hope Tallis comes back because I like her.

The re-used areas never really bothered me at all. I mean, I played Mass Effect over a dozen times. DA2 was a great game. Can't say I loved the boss fights at the end, but I didn't hate them either, let's say somewhere in between. And I gotta say, please Maker let there be no more floor tile puzzles here everafter, amen. But other than that I really enjoyed DA2.

Oh, and I liked Tallis, Fenris, Sebastian, and Carver.
And Morrigan wasn't particularly interesting.

DA2 was certainly disappointing, but I don't think it was as bad as many make it out to be. Personally, I think it was a great game. It was made to seem worse by way of contrast, since Origins was so brilliant.

I for one really enjoyed DA2, in fact I'd say that I liked it even more than DA:O. The recycled areas that most people seem to dislike intensely honestly didn't bother me at all.

i loved (and continue to love) both games for different reasons. i also loved that DA2 didn't just fall prey to the sequel syndrome (i.e. the same thing over again, only with slightly different gameplay. bor-ring!) i look forward to DAI being a game in its own right just like each of its predecessors were.

I like DA2 too. Yeah it's over the top sometimes (ok, a lot of times) and we see the same maps over and over... and over... but I still like it! It's fun
And it had great DLCs. The only DLC I truly enjoyed in DAO was Shale, even Awakening was kinda meh. Sigh, now I'm thinking about Exalted March and how great it could have been...
Anyway... yeah, I'm interested in DA3, but I won't preorder blindly this time.
