I agree with what Melca36 said. I am part of what seems to be the minority of people who actually liked the Fade quest in DA:O. It's about the only part you do on your own, without party members. It makes immersion so much better. I sometimes really imagined what was going through the head of my PC during that quest. I also liked the different shapes your PC could take on and the atmosphere of the Fade in general. It's such a strange, mystical place full of intruiging creatures.
It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who really enjoyed the Fade in DA:O. I love seeing what the companions' nightmares/wishes are and imagining my Warden's thoughts. I would never download the mod to skip it.
However, I do find the Deep Roads terribly tedious.
that's interesting. because even though i felt like the deap roads took up way too huge a chunk of my game in DAO, i found them totally fascinating. not that i didn't laugh at all the jokes leveled at them in DA2 through Anders. but i still just loved how much it seemed like this world of lost history just begging to be brought back to light, and interesting stories about people who either lived or ventured there. topsider's honor, running into kardol and the legion, the castless of kar'hirdol, pretty much everything that happened in DA2...little things like that just made the entire universe of DA seem so much deaper (no pun intended) than what you see in the everyday world.
and, just so you know, the mod for skipping the fade (or at least the one i found) you still got to see your companion dreams, you just didn't have to do the tedious bits that consume every last potion in your inventory.
