I wouldn't make a stink over it but I don't think he was interested in the male mage in Origins, only the female got to talk to a stuttering Cullen.

True. I remember it fondly with my Amell Warden.

A history of attraction to a female does not prevent him from developing an attraction to a male later in his life.

I can think of half a dozen reasons without half-trying
1 People can come out at any age.
2 The male mage Warden just wasn't his type
3 It was not necessarily the attraction that was making him uncomfortable, but the possibility that others might see him, a templar, talking to a female mage and assume that there was something going on
4 His attraction to the female Warden was purely physical but a later attraction to a male later could have begun as a cerebral relationship and developed into something more
5 He was attracted to the male Warden as well but was able to comfortable enough around males not to choke under pressure
6 He was in a relationship with a male templar at the time and he did not want his lover to find out that he liked the ladies, too
7 The female mage Warden was just that hot. And the male DA3 protagonist will be, too.

OK, that's 7.

Sorry not again fanbase for destroy immersion to playing, and sorry but I hope again they don't repeat the same scenario for dragon age 2 no thanks ! Romance mass effect 3 ok ! I was no surprise for Kaidan is bi in mass effect 3 than he was bi in mass effect 1 but after only for the women don't it's not a surprise !
But I don't wand an Anderson bis, don't change her personality for fanbase ! I hope Bioware create more variety sexuality and with interesting personality !
And we are lot of girls don't wan't Cullen changer her sexuality for fanbase male !

I'm going to go with a resounding No on this. I'm a gay guy but I hate making all LIs bi, it really cheapens their characters and is remarkably unrealistic and I honestly don't understand how it's less resource intensive for the devs. Cullen was already presented as straight in Origins based off of the context and any of the "oh, he just came out of the closet later, etc." would just be a cheap retocn. If I really wanted to romance Cullen I could make a female inquisitor. I don't get why people are so averse to playing characters opposite of their gender -- it's an RPG for crying out loud -- in most (but not DA2) you can play as elves and dwarves or some other race but people don't like playing a character that isn't the same gender as them -- that always baffled me.

As for the person who said making Cullen into a m/m LI would make him into a "fuffer" -- he's a homophobic peice of trash and can go eff himself.

Please let's not take another established heterosexual character who has only ever shown a boyishly shy interest in females only and suddenly rewrite the entire core of his being to apease the crowds, no Anders 2.0 >__>;

and for the overly defense types, this doesn't mean no homosexuals or bisexuals, this is simply respecting the charecter & the human psyche as whole to not just redefine a persons core personal feelings & desires for no goddamn reason other then fan service, it's an insult to every person of every sexual preffrance

And seriously.. wtf is with all these romance requests anyway? This is a RPG not an romance simulator. Sheesh. Get your romance fix in real life. Or from other game.

I'm just going to headcanon that male Amell/Surana has poor personal hygiene, and that's why Cullen didn't get all fluttery around him. I know that is a deal breaker for me.

All video game romances are unrealistic and potentially immersion breaking. I can make a hideous, laughably evil player character, who simply chooses all the right dialogue and doesn't take target LIs on quests that could upset them, and boom, I can get the romance, as long as they're available to my character's gender.

While I don't play male characters, and thus wouldn't be interested in an m/m romance with Cullen, I have no desire to go back to feeling disappointed that I can't have the f/f romances I really wanted.

I am totally agree with you  please don't change personality of character for fanbase, and I have friends who are gays are agree with me they prefer have a new romance gay and no a hetero guy he change after for his sexuality because a minority mens fanbase want this!

A portion of the female fan base would like to do away with gender-restrictions, too. Not every female gamer limits herself to playing female characters. I happen to like the Anders/M!Hawke romance very much, thanks, and I think I'll like the male!DA3 protag/Cullen romance, too.

I will never understand why people insist on limiting the options of others just because they choose to limit their own. It's like saying "I don't like orange marmalade so I forbid anyone else from liking it, either!"

Hum and I don't understand why somebody want change sexuality with character is hetero ? just realistic please and it's more realistic create a new character who is gay with her personnality it's much interesting !
In Skyrim, the character are all bi and it's very very bad because noboboy have his or her personnality !

If we play race elve, human or orc or why we can play gay, hetero or bi but not again and again all bi !

I don't want clone again !

I like the personn critiq somebody because they are don't agree it's so easy ! but it's not a problem for me ! but I am not the along women or male and friends gay don't want again the same problem i dragon age 2 !! After the romance is just a smale % in the scenario and I prefer have a good scenaro with rpg than all romance bi with a bad game !

Part of me agrees with this; I played the majority of my playthroughs of both DA and ME games without initiating any LI activity, and the games were still as fun/epic as the few times I did choose an LI.

On the other hand, depending on how into the story you are, having that little bit of extra interaction with an individual character can make certain aspects of the overall story more endearing, or feel more dangerous/daunting.

As for Cullen, I would say no simply because he never seemed to fit the bill. And count me among the others who was disappointed by the fact that it seemed like almost EVERY character was an LI for both genders. I understand equality, and wanting to make sure everyone gets their representation, but it does kind of alter my view of character development and immersion if there is just about no difference in the game between playing either gender.

It's more fun and great to play a game realistic than a game so bad and unrealistic with sterotypes ! and I am sure if Morrigan is comeback the fanbase want the she will be bi for them pfff pathetic !!

Cullen's entire ending from DA:O was retconned. In DA2 he shows no signs of his sexual orientation.

He will be whatever the writers decide he will be, regardless of how people perceived him in the first two games.
