I want to get rid of ALL romance.
Want romance? Go play date sims.
After that garbage we got in DA2, I'm on board with this.

No..Cullen was in two games and never showed even a hint of bisexuality.
If Bioware really starts butcheing and retconning every character, then frak them.

With respect, I'm puzzled by describing the possibility of Cullen being romanceable by a male character as a potential "retcon" – why does the fact that Cullen "never showed a hint of bisexuality" mean that there's no possibility he could ever have been anything but straight?
In the case of most real-life people who are bisexual, you wouldn't know they're bisexual unless they've told you – why would you assume that someone couldn't possibly be bisexual without bringing it up?

Now you're being offensive. Yes, even if you don't know them, or they haven't come out to you, there are real people who are bisexual. It's really not that hard to imagine.
You're right, but you're wasting your time, unfortunately. She is never going to get it.syllogi wrote...

Haters are loud, but there are fortunately very few of them. I don't think BioWare is going to go back to gender-restricted romances just because a small minority of players can't handle the idea that not everyone likes the same things they do.
That, and it's only a game.
I have to admit, so soon after seeing the Batman avatar, this cracked me up something chronic. It's simple. We kill the romance section.

Hm...he's a Templar. There is a Templar vs Mage war. What else could be more important than fighting it/trying to stop it?!

Sure, why not? I think Allan posted in another thread about why it's easier on the devs in terms of resources to have characters bisexual, and to just consider it a meta sort of game mechanic instead of letting it get under our skin.

Exactly, and I would say that is probably what they will do again.
The bisexuality of the LI's in DA2 was handled subtly imo, and did not affect their personality, in fact, I believe Bioware kept sexuality from influencing personality in any way (except characters like Isabela and Zevran, and still, it had no bearing on plot). Furthermore, although the LI's were bi, can you honestly say that their personality was changed whether romanced or not?
For example, my first playthrough was a female Hawke who romanced Anders and I had no idea that he was bisexual given the in game content. When I romanced him later as a male, he was still Anders, his sexuality had no bearing on who he was or what he was about in terms of story and character. And when I did not romance him, he was still Anders.
In no instance did any LI have their sexuality play a part in their convictions, choices, morality, or anything really, it was as separate as the option to romance at all is. In fact, if you did not romance any of them at all, at no point did any character (or more specifically any potential LI) say, "Well I'm doing this or saying this because I'm bi."
In Origins, if Alistair had been bisexual, I think he still would have been the same goofy, shy, bastard of a king that he was, and Morrigan would have still been her athiest barbed tongued self out for an old god baby.
In short, let everyone have the option to romance whoever they want.
