You have to remember that BSN logic is "if he never jumps up and shouts HEY EVERYONE I ONLY LIKE WOMEN" at the top of his voice, then he's probably bisexual.
-Zkyire
If they ever write a book called "Understanding the BSN" this sentence would undoubtedly be in the preface. To get back to the topic. Would it make much sense for Cullen to swing both ways? No, not really. But it didn't make sense for Anders either and they did it anyway. I don't believe they've confirmed it one way or the other but Gaider's mentioned it being "low cost" so I think we can assume all LI's will be player sexual from here on out.
Cullen as a M/M romance?

Even a cursory examination of the history of human sexuality or (gasp!) exploration of the ways gender and sexuality are socially constructed in other cultures are enough to inform one that there is nothing mechanistic about sexuality and gender relations. Our sexual terminology and ideas about non-heterosexual individuals and patterns of behavior are a product of history, specifically that of the psychology and medical establishments of late 19th- and early 20th-century England and the US.

Make note: This is not the same as bisexual. Bisexual implies that the character is actively sexually attracted to both genders. Characters like Meril and Fenris were both more or less asexual until Hawke (or potentially Isabela) start hitting on them.

So only heterosexuals can be "bros?" How interesting.
I must have missed the comment this is in response to. But I'm a straight dude, and one of best friends is a gay dude. It's never once been an issue. Pretty normal situation, as far as I can tell.

Okay what if it's established that he only likes a womans vag and nothing else? Should he still be turned bi in the game?Xilizhra wrote...

It's not established that Anders is actually asexual either.

It would be remarkably silly to establish it and break it in the same game, so I doubt such a scenario has any chance of happening.Calians wrote...

I don't enjoy playing men. I don't see why it kills you to have more options.ScarMK wrote...
I don't know why it KILLS people to simply replay as the opposite gender to try a romance out. Contrary to what some seem to think, Thedas does not revolve around the PC. Each character has their own ideals and yes, sexuality. There is no need to make them player sexual simply to appease people.

I don't either, but that doesn't make it right. More options is always a good thing, but you need to consider do they make sense for the character. Cullen isn't established as truly either, but he certainly hasn't shown any tendency to males. True, the warden and Hawke could just not be his types, but what makes it so that the Inquisitor is?

Because I'm not a woman and having said LI refers to me as one is annoying. I don't want the LI to treat me as if I'm a chick.ScarMK wrote...

Personally I would rather that so I can be coaxed into playing as a male character.
I'd like to think the gender of the PC in some way changes the story even with something as minute as romance options.
I don't like playing as males in games either, but it was worth it to experience the Morrigan romance. It just wouldn't be the same as a female warden.

We will just have to see when more info comes out then. As for now, it is rather early to debate.

Um, just throwing this out there,
but people are not just "straight until proven otherwise." I mean being
gay or bi is not a crime, people haha xD
That's not the issue people have, I believe the issue is that people dislike how some characters are made bi simply to appease the player.
