Ok so I use to be pretty gung ho about grinding with the best of the best in Gold and Platinum matches and getting boo koo credits for Premium Specter packs and I admit I use to shun the losers and noobs in Silver ( I even began to feel that way towards Gold players)  However! I had an epiphany about three weeks ago and decided to stop giving a crap about Ultra Rare Weapons, Gear, and Credits and decided to just focus on having fun and trying out every single build/weapons combo I could ( I was ignoring to many fun characters and builds) and I ventured back to silver and let me tell you I'm having a blasty blast, I will proudly admit I like running around with PUGS in silver its fun and no one takes things soooooo serious and people play with whatever they feel like rolling with. I've found my Margaritaville in Mass Effect 3 MP :D it's keeping me interested instead of making me feel like Im grinding  too play for more credits and be disappointed everytime I open a Premium Pack.

That's the idea. It really is to each his own -- there's enough latitude and zones for each of us to find our individual comfort spots.

I like it. I prefer silver, too. I can handle it with any character, any level. I've loaded down a Level 1 Asari Adept with a Widow and Revenant and played smart sniper and led scoring with 3 level 20s. But it was fun trying something new. I can also go in with my level 20 Slayer and play super aggressive and have a blast, too. When I throw down in Golds, I have to take everything SUPER. SERIOUSLY. The challenge is nice now and again, but silver seems to have the right balance between bosses and mooks. And killing mobs of mooks is always more fun to me than hammering away at bosses.

I dunno I just really had a change in perception on how I wanted to play the game going forward, I mean I still like to bang out gold and platinum matches with my LIVE friends and Party occasionally (BL2 has them now) but If I'm bored and wanna have some fun which is what I want to do now instead of grinding all D TIME.... Silver and PUGS it is!

I like this OP. They understand what games are about and why you play them.

Prety much nuthin but this. I get so shunned when I say I play mostly silver. I've plyed my share of gold and plat.... but screw the rapid packs. Screw the unlocks tht still take forever. Gold and up, pugs, are just such a mixed bag of pure awesome, or pure rage inducing frustration.... silver is almost ALWAYS a good time.... and come the later waves it can, t times, get pretty hectic. Its amazing how much harder things are when nobody else knows what to do when there are a couple banshees, several brutes and ravagers, all at the same time and its largely on you too deal witn it. Feels good, without all the stress of terripugs who never us consumables, or go down in the beginning of eveey wave. You on xbox? Hit me up. We'll team up and crush silver into a fine poweder only suitable for industrial applications (tag same as here)

I probably play as much (or almost as much) silver as I do gold. Mostly because I like using funny loadouts and builds (melee QFI anyone?).

Will do mine is MDM22 on XBOX. Bronze I can't do unless I'm too busy with work for a weekend challenge and have to bang it out real quick for the promotional weapon.

This.:P

My Margaritaville is trying all sorts of different character builds, mods and weapons, and playing them on Bronze. Some spec and mod mixes I come up with myself, some others suggest, some as a result of balance changes.  I promote all the time, so I don't need respec cards (save those for specs that don't include the default point Bioware assigns to a level 1 character).

Rarely play silver, ususally with a decent pug that decides to move up from Bronze.  Even more rare to play Gold, usually a progression with a pug, if I have a reasonably high level character with a decent spec.  Have never intentionally played Platinum.

I also won't claim to be an elite, because I'm not.  I'm a decent player and I enjoy being a good teammate while I play whatever it is I am playing that day.  But I do love the game, I have a blast.  Part of the genius of this game is that someone like me, who is maybe a bit of an outlier, can enjoy the game on Bronze, while someone with entirely different set of expectations can have a blast on Silver, Gold or Platinum.

Bravo! Silver's not really my comfort zone. Too many phantoms, banshees and hunters running about. (Oh my.) See sig for my personal Margaritaville.

Due to a glitch, sabotage's 50% tech damage multiplier actually affects melee damage as well (source).

So melee QFI? SRS BSNS GAIZ.

I went into this game with this attitude, sort of. I didn't want to become jaded from playing at the highest difficulty, and I didn't want to exhaust this game's potential for fun prematurely. For the most part, I try to play to the best of my ability, even if I'm on Silver and should be playing Gold or Platinum. I'm not overly concerned, although I've been wanting to hasten the credit flow lately.

I usually play a Gold farm and U/U/S. Enough credits for a PSP and lots of fun too!

Amen. Silver is a great difficulty. Not too easy unless all 4 people are expertey sorts. Not too hard unless you're carrying a lot of people.

A lot more is viable than isn't.

There's no need to burn consumeable bonus equipment there if you have a good weapon or two. Just slap on some appropriate gear, and you're set.

Silver is awesome. Especialy when PUG'd up.

Sometimes I play gold, but plat doesn't interest me.

I've played with this guy and he's being a little modest. I'd say he's at least semi-elite.

Silver is for lulz, gold is if I want challenge and fbwgg is if I want creds.

Interestingly enough sometimes silver is not so easy if the squadmates are inexperienced, having terrible/funny chars & loadouts or just plain bad. In a sense that with a good team gold would be easier.

Oh, and this is playing pug's only

Welcome to my world.

It's called playing for fun.

Any weapon combo you feel like
Spam Powers? Why not.
You revive the same low level player 10 times? Well hey, at least you get a badge!
SS out of the extraction zone just at the wrong time (Oops!) LMAO
Keep using Stasis on a Banshee even though you know it does nothing
Use some of the worst weapons in ME, just because you've never tried them before.
Spec a Krogan with a Sniper Rifle and a Pistol - because you can
and hardly ever get kicked unless you're AWOL from the lobby or being offensive.

I've seen far more very high ranked players in Silver recently. Maybe others are embracing the fun factor too.

Silver welcomes fun seekers.
