Hi everyone!
Among the many threads, I would like to focus attention for a moment on the localisation.
In my opinion DA needs an improvement starting from the subtitles that are on top of the screen. This makes them tiring to read for the eyes (especially if you play on a TV) and preclude the opportunity to enjoy 100% of the gaming scene. In the ME saga they can be read easily because are at the center of the screen, and it would be a great improvement if applied to the DA saga.

And what about the localized voice-over? DA has only English, French and German. Would not it be better to expand this feature? If DAIII is really a larger project, the answer should be yes. ME saga has more localized voice-over, so why not in DA?

I leave to you all the other topics, these are the ones I care about most.
Thanks for the attention! :)

I agree about the subtitles, but for those of able hearing you shouldn't NEED to read the subtitles. Subtitles aren't exactly vital for the gamin, they just need to be much better placed so they are easier to read for those with weakened or no hearing ability.

Though I am not entirely deaf, I DO have audio dyslexia. I always play with subtitles even though I can hear so I know what people are saying.I'm pretty good with context, but it means that I still have difficulty sometimes (I also can't understand accents very well, because I'm dependant on vowel sounds as well and accents vary them.) Anyone I speak to on Teamspeak is familiar with "Sorry, I didn't catch that... sorry what?... haha, it sounded like you said <ridiculous suggestion>".

For that reason, I want accurate English subtitles. It doesn't have to be for the hearing impaired (though for movies I prefer that since straight 'English' is usually as a second language and not accurate to speech) but it DOES have to be both readable and accurate, as well as lining up with the audio. I hate subtitles that go by faster than the speech does! ("What did he sa-- oh it's gone.")

I'd prefer it at the bottom, since that is my 'go-to' place for subtitles and I'm used to them there. DAO's subtitles were a little awkward, but I can understand that to a degree because they wanted to prevent confusing NPC speech with PC dialogue choices.

I don't think is an EA decision, it's just a publisher... I hope.

However, as well as a question for those with hearing loss, it's also a problem for non-english people who must read the subtitles because they don't understand spoken English, or in any case not everything.

P.S. Sorry for the title of the thread, I would mean "The localisation thread" :pinched: If some moderator can fix it, I'd be glad.

I am from Puerto Rico and in every game I always play with english audio and english subtitles because I don't understand some of the accents sometimes and I really like your idea because it will make the subtitles more easy to read.

Yes, because of this I've missed some words or the end of a phrase
