I don't care really that much but the steelbook as to be an option like with dragon age origins it was a steelbook edition which I think was an acceptional choice but dragon age 2 failed even with the Signature edition. too cheap for a collectors!!! there was not differences accept that the cover art work was different and it had bubble written try making it more of a collecotrs edition then some cheap knock off please. but there are my Ideas. if anyone else has any ideas be my guess.

As soon as the collector edition is avaible I am going to preorder it right away. But instead of a figure of alistair I would like some other thing that has to do with the inquisition or something like that.

Collectors editions are getting too crazy any more.
The best thing i tink they could do is let us have vigilance and star fang as DLC options for warrior class (and please for rogue class again tired of dual wielding daggers.) Like to have a new vesion of the blood dragon armor, maybe a high dragon armor or something.
Sound tracks and mini posters are great but i hardly ever use any of them and they arent really practicle.
Give me something i can use, a comic for example maybe of hawke or cassandra and what they are doing leading up to this point.
Dont add multiplayer, seriously i am tried of multiplayer invading everything. No need for it plus i really want to get the achivements myself and not have to worry about someone else getting them with me. Seriously i enjoy playing games by myself and dont want to have to worry about someone else to get me an achivement when i have time now to get it.
Dawn of the seeker is already out so having a preview of it is useless.
I would like to see a DLC option for shale as a part member again. be nice to have her back and she could fit in the story well.
For another option since next year is the year of the dragon maybe have some sort of chinese dragon themed armor and weapon set.
Allistar action figure is alright i guess but it's not my favorite option. Much rather have someone live varric or flemeth o even morrigan.

The one thing that keeps me from getting CEs these days is that it always seems like the super nice case they put the game in is required to make the disc almost impossible to remove. I hate taking the chance that I could break a game I spent more than normal money on just by removing it from the case.

Besides, these days the extras are hardly worth it, and most of the good content is also released as DLC either day-one or post-release.

I would say something like the Signature Edition for Dragon Age 2 where you got upgraded for no extra charge.

Another thing that would be good for fans is like they did with Borderlands 2 and offer the first DLC available for free.

For a Collector's Edition, all I'd need is:

Hardcover guide like DA:O hardcover guide, perhaps autographed by the team inside with plenty of lore in there too
Soundtrack
Some DLC codes (essentially a couple of DLC for free, like Stone Prisoner and Warden's Vigil were)

Beyond that, I don't think Collector's Editions need to be all super ridiculous, nor do they need to be super expensive. For a hardcover, soundtrack, and 2 free DLCs I'd say an extra $25

I wouldn't mind a statue of Morrigan myself, but I wouldn't expect it.

I like to get editions like this, but I really prefer to have the stuff on the disc if possible rather than codes. I liked that the DA:O CE had its extra soundtrack bits on another disc rather than as a code (although, since I got the PS3 edition, I have to say that I think having the extras on another Blu-ray was silly).

I would buy this collectors edition but more options than just a Alister figure. Maybe Leliana

I don't know. I shelled out top dollar for the Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition (only CE I've ever bought and I only did so because I was certain I'd enjoy the **** out ME3... time makes fools of us all). And the only thing I actually liked about that expensive package was the N7 weapons and the N7 Velcro patch I've occasionally worn proudly on my jacket/hoodie.

So....

In-game weapons/armor and a patch for our real-world jackets?

EDIT:

And a different company doing the metal cases. The ME3 Collector Edition cases are hard as **** to get the discs out. You really need a sturdy table to lay it on before you take a disc out or put a disc back in. Any other way, including holding it in one hand and using your other hand causes nothing but frustrations.

Note: Mass effect 3 collectors edition sucked it was the worsest of the worest the steelbook for the ps3 version was the same size as the xobox dvd steelbook, it came in a larger collectors box half the size of my labtop for Australia, Uk and the rest. waste of money couldnt store it will my games on my shelf. plus the disc didnt have the N7 collectors Icon it was a regular disc what a rip.
