It would be bad for Bioware to be forced to make last minute changes to the story because someone thought it would be cool to spoil the game. Bad for us too. So if you're a janitor at Bioware or a disgruntled IT person or a journalist with data-mining skills or something like that please restrain yourself. kthxbai

First, if someone's responsible for the security of their stories, that's BW

Second, I doubt kind of insulting people who might have done it before, will discourage them to do it again. If anything, you'll get the opposite

Third, after ME3, I'm all up for spoilers and leaks from BW games.

I've always wondered if they said they'd be changing things based on feed back to the ME3 leak because that was a way early version of the script and they'd already started or had finished making various changes anyway.

I'm sure the janitor would appreciate it if nobody leaked anything.

ME3 has taught me to 1) never preorder a bioware again but wait for user reviews, and 2) always find out if there is going to be an ending for the game that I'm shelling out money for

me3 had an ending it ended and it had credits lots of credits.

likely DA3 will have an ending also, and I agree on what you said I wont be pre-ordering either

I'm just tired of problems of any sort and of being discouraged by things.

Can things go right these days... just once? pretty please with sugar on top?

Your bladder maybe, but what about that spastic colon of yours?

Indeed.

If the leak is really what made Bioware change their story, then I'm sorry, that's lame. I don't think that is what happened in the least.

I had read the Harry Potter books, or the Bourne novels, or the Lord of the Ring series before seeing their movie versions. Knowing what happens in a story, even how it ends, doesn't diminish seeing how it plays out visually (or, in some cases it does, when the movie is bad... but that's a different point).

My thrust being - spoiler scripts for games leak out all the time, for nearly every game that has a large following. Most people don't want to know, so they don't get spread around much. Same thing happens with movies - a spoiler script for Avengers could be found online months before it debuted, if you dug hard enough and knew where to look. The only reason the ME3 spoiler script was spread around so much was that its ending was TERRIBLE. People were passing it around saying "Oh, dude... this is the worst ending I've ever read." So the endings were bad, that's why the script leak was so huge... not the other way around.

Considering how quickly and easy people ripped apart DA2 with just the demo, I doubt you'll get your wish.

I'm going to say this, anyone who believes Bioware changed ANYTHING in ME3 because of leaks, is full of bollocks, they barely had enough time to make the game as it is, let alone change it on drastic levels.

BW doesn't exactly have much say over... say... private groups or forums outside of Bioware Social though.

I think the neogaf forum would disagree with you on that :P But then again once the Cease and desist letters start rolling in, everyone has already made copies of whatever's leaked anyway.
