There is a thread about dragons being in DA3....
They were said to be extinct, so are griffons accourding to the lore.

Will there be griffons in DA3?

I would love to see something like this appear in the next installment:

I support Griffons in DA3. Not literally, they look heavy.

I say no griffons for DA3. Why? Because I think DA4 (or some other future DA game) will focus on the Grey Wardens again, and that's the perfect opportunity to introduce the griffons. (Although hints or small mentions in DA3 of them being seen again would not go amiss).

Aren't they extinct though...?

They said the same thing about dragons. ;)

Only one mysterious animal revived from supposed extinction per age please.

Wait for "Griffon Age: Origins." :)

Is this story going to have Griffons in it? If not I don't want to hear it.

Seriously though I thought a newly hatched griffon would make a great 'Dog' replacer one game. Not big enough to ride, but you can name it and it helps out in fights and amuses us in cutscenes with its card playing skills.

Could see something like that happening...especially since the rumours of Varric returning in DA3 are roaming around. A scene involving them playing cards would be cool Posted ImagePosted Image.

The Mabari thing is getting a bit tired. Time to change it up with a Griffon. If flying is technically hard to achieve  have some idiot have clipped its wings.

Why not? Dragons, Dogs and Darkspawn are getting stale. Bring more races and species back from the death, I say! Gryphons, velociraptors, dodos!

The possibilities are endless!

Would be the best way to have your warden reappear upon a griffon saving you from darkspawn, i would be to amazed at that entrance to care if they voiced him/her or not.

I would too. Specifically this exact moment, what appears to be a snapshot of the instant before a crash landing. I imagine the next 5 minutes filled with flailing, waterlogged wings and a frantic, gasping dogpaddle. Majestic.

Today on National Thedasgraphic:  The overly territorial griffon sees a reflection of itself in the water and considers its reflection a threat.  Unfortunately for this griffon this mistake will cost it its life.  The strange and aggressive behavior of these majestic creatures is often blamed on the Grey Wardens and their secretive and selective breeding techniques.

So were dragons. If they wanted to bring them back, I'm sure it could be facilitated.
