I have to admit to being a bit of an achievement chaser here. I'm hopeful that we will see a return of achievements in DA3 like what we had in Origins, DA2's where a little thin for me. Does anyone else agree? There is a lot of talk about game mechanics and companion and potential IL's... Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this. I feel like it add to the re-playability XD.

I could care less for achievements. I do not see in harm in them, but I do not see the purpose for them.

Fear and Surprise: Make 5 NPCs faint out of fear or surprise.
Ruthless Efficiency: Discover and finish all side quests in one single play through.
Fanatical Devotion: Earn the approval of the Divine.
The Comfy Chair: Make a Heretic confess in a torture session.

I find that achievements are best used as true rewards for circumstances that are rare or difficult to achieve. Rewarding regular events that happen during the regular course of the game are pointless to the player, although it may help drive those that seek achievements to keep playing beyond when they'd usually give up.
So, if they include them, and I have no problem with them doing so, I'd like to see them become something that is truly a reward and not just a flag along the way to the endgame.
