I really want long hair in DA3. Especially since most games you can only have short hair. And it just so happens that I have long hair myself. It would give me more to identify with my PC.

I thought there were a couple long hairs for women? And a couple shoulder length hairs for men (the Zevran hair, for instance). As for clipping, Isabela has long hair, and it looks find no matter what outfit you put her in. Unless you put her in heavy armor, I guess, which I haven't done.

But yes, the more the merrier. And how about curly hair? And hair that would look more natural on a Black PC.

And just better hair in general for guys. So much of it looks like the hairstyles from 80s fantasy movies like Ladyhawke.

Or they could just do what DDO did, let the hair clip, and if you don't like it, they'll sell you a new hairstyle.  Or you can pick up a cosmetic armor overlay that hides your clippy armor.

I'd like better hair for DA3 also, but it seems to be a slow process for them.  Maybe with the new engine we'll get some really sweet hair.  That actually fits on the head.

I'd also like to suggest the inclusion of multiple tones for hair--let us pick the dark tones and light tones plz.

On the subject of hair, something I would like BioWare to do, is allow for every hairstyle - male and female - to somehow cling to the head of the character. This way, there will be no clipping. One of my Hawke's, side burns stick outwards as if she's wearing a hat. Fortunately she has blond(e?) hair and fair, pale skin, so it's often quite hard to see, but I know it's there, and it bothers me occasionally. Not every Hawke with that hairstyle will have blonde hair and pale skin, to hide the fact that it's just hanging out there like something that can't flow in the wind (something other than hair).

If player's hair looks strange, it will be because of the shape of their character's head, not a design flaw in the character creation.

Yes! Long hair, please! And if loose long hair is too difficult with clipping and all that, at least hair that hints at very long hair, like my avatar is wearing.

You know people are going to whine that this is such a selfish dumb thing to ask for when there are other technical issues that take precedence that BW needs to focus on for the third series, but I actually feel like the CC should've had way more options in terms of esthetics for creating our characters, and hairstyles is one of those it shouldn't have been game breaking to add...

Not having the option to mod my game I've always wanted a glorious mane of hair behind me while I kicked/stab/burn my way around Thedas. /Bite me BSN!

As long as it's properly tied, and we're talking actual armed combat, not wrestling on the ground, the tactical disadvantage is purely imagined.
To be fair though - only include long hair, if you'll do away with the wooden-haircuts. Otherwise it'd just make a bad situation worse.

Hell yeah i want long hair in DA3, i mean really does the whole DA world go to the same hairdressers  Maybe coz we're in Orlais we will have some fancy hairstyles and clothes

I want more hairstyles that are OFF THE FACE. Not a wispy bang, not two oily strands that hang down. I really like the way Wynne's hair looks, but I would prefer a longer ponytail or a braid. I really don't understand the thing people have with hair in the face. I see it in official CC hair, I see it in hair mods. One hair mod I saw had almost the entire face covered except for like an inch gap over one eye. Completely ridiculous. I hate having hair in my face IRL, and I really dislike seeing my characters with it.

That said, you have only to look at some of the hair mods for DAO (More Hairstyles, Anto Hairstyles, Beautiful People Hair REN) to see that it IS possible to have classy hair, mature hair, fun hair, and practical hair, and have them all look great. In those packs are also your fair share of anime and beauty pagent hair which I don't care for, but everyone has different tastes.

When it comes to something like this, it's really frustrating that the hairs in a mod are much nicer than the actual hair from the game. Not only in style but in hair design as well.

I usually go with the Morrigan hair, but I wouldn't mind a couple more 'soft' updos/ponytails.

I don't like the hairdos with it all pulled tight except for a two little wormy bits hanging down.


Edit: Oh, some of those Anto styles are nice. I hadn't seen that mod before.

Tie it into a braid and there's no problem at all. I know long wavy curls are not very practical in battle, so I would be very pleased with longer ponytails. And braids. I love braids.
