I'm surprised there isn't some magical spell to keep hair out of the way of your face in the DA world, looool

The 'Clipping issue vs. Long hair' argument reminds me somewhat of people who never smile in hopes they will hide forever their uneven dentition...
I personally think that smiling does much better for a face than perfect teeth.
In other words, you're one for long hair.
Indeed! What I meant was : I don't care about the clipping issue. Rigid hair or forced short hair issues are much worse for me.
I would love to see the next main protagonist going with a choice of long, curly, braided, pony-tailed, moving and following physics hairstyles... (preferably natural looking than the anime styles that look much better on anime faces, imho.)
...All along with a button you could press in-game to tie or untie it when needed!
Also, about men's long hairstyle it reminds me of words attributed to Lycurgus (spartan lawgiver) by Plutarch, which said something along the line : 'Spartans should keep their hair long because it makes the handsome men more beautiful and the ugly ones more frightening...'

What a great saying--"...handsome men more beautiful and ugly ones more frightening...."

...and when Lycurgus meant long hair, he really meant long, really long hair...

'Hear then now also: these men have come to fight with us for the passage, and this is it that they are preparing to do; for they have a custom which is as follows;--whenever they are about to put their lives in peril, then they attend to the arrangement of their hair.'
Hope archaic Greek art does not offend against the nudity prohibition

Boss hair.
I hope my hair grows out that long. Right now it's just at the base of my neck, and I constantly have to tie it back into a ponytail for work -- along with putting so much **** in it that I have to take a second shower on my work days just to get it to feel like hair again.

Ponytails are boss. I used the braided tail in DAO.
Same. Xanthos Aeducan and Damaeus Cousland both have the braided ponytail as their hairstyle.

Yeah, hair THAT long in game? A little much. But it'd be cool if they found a way to get hair that long in the game.
A long ass ponytail would be MINT.

I was happy with femHawk's "low" ponytail (the only default hairstyle I loved compared to other hairstyles in other games--props to you DA) , but it would be nice to have more variations...like bangs for example.
Say no to buns! Say yes to fabulous ponytails!

And having long hair bulge off of someone's head like in ME3 does NOT count. Ack.

Longer hair would be nice if I didn't have to mod it into a game for once(I'm sick of buns in games like you wouldn't believe).

Ponytails? Not enough of them. There are many kinds of ponytails they can have available.
I'd love a long ponytail with perhaps a little swinging hair over an eye or two. That'd be nice.
Functional looking ponytails, badass ponytails. Not too sure if "fabulous" would be the word I'd use, hahahaha
I want my girls to be badasses. Fantastic badasses with fantastic personalities.
And what the hell. Fantastic hair.

Unfortunately, the longest hair Bioware's likely to have in DA3 is the length of my friend's.

If Game of Thrones is wrong then I don't want to be right. Earlier Gaider said that if you boil them down you can make any character into a stereotype. He needs to read/watch this.
I think Dragon Age drew heavily on George R.R. Martin's books for their inspiration. Though they don't seem to have incorporated the flowing tresses
