Ponytails and braids would be fantstic but I don't want any more intricate buns wrapped in braids and more suited to a ball than battle. Unless we're going to a ball, in which case I'd love to be able to get a more formal style for clothing and hair for that portion. And masks.

There's always those damn weapons and shields that rest on a character's back that screw things up.

Everyone wouldn't be happy. I wouldn't. I game on consoles, I have to rely on the devs including features like that into the game for me to enjoy them.
This. Those of us who game on PC tend to default to modders to fix problems for us. Small feature not included? Mod it. Buggy quest? Mod it. Horrible game-breaking Izzy bug? Mods.
Unfortunately, that's not a feasible option for a lot of players. Just because modders can fix issues on one platform doesn't mean the devs should ignore the other two.

Also, thanks!
Yeah, mine's about 3/5ths that right now. ;-) This thread kind of feels like when you bump into a fellow long hair guy on the street and you kinda acknowledge the brotherhood. lol

I personally missed the double braided bun style that was in DA:O. At least one of my Wardens used it simply because I felt it was more in her character to keep her hair long. Customisation and roleplaying your character is fun!

I totally support long hair! For both the ladies and the men:D. Maybe even the ability to change your hair throughout the game? I don't know, I just found it strange that in DA2 your hair didn't change one strand after 10 years....I doubt Hawke would've gotten haircuts daily to keep it the way it was at the start of the game....anyway, the option to have long hair would be awesome! <3
The Black Emporium let you change your appearance at any time in DA2.

Y'know, it usually starts out with something like, "Hey! Nice hair, brother!"
Good times.

The envy of other companions was immense both in Mass Effect and Dragon Age, Isabela, Ashleigh, Miranda... *sighs*
I've never been bothered by clipping if it's small, I mean a lot of games have clipping issues, I've been able to walk through the Normandys hull before after all. I don't see hair really being that big an issue in the grand scheme of things.
As for the argument it's unrealistic, that's true, but hey so are mages, dragons, elves and all that other fantasy goodness. Just because it's impractical for us in our boring magic-less world doesn't mean the same for a completely different one (I'm foregoing simple common sense and sticking to this argument).
I've brought it up before and I'll do it again, Guild Wars 2 was absolutely wonderful in its hairstyle choices, not only did they move and flow but there was long, short, elaborate, simple, bad-ass, feminine, so much variety. It made me quite happy. I want the same for DA3. Please
