I want this templar to be completely anti-mage and occasionally when exploring areas and passing companion dialogue triggers he will randomly utter out things like "I hate mages", "Mages suck", "Mages should be killed" and then other times you get him quoting verses from The Chant of Light.

All of that during "romance" dialog and scenes too.

Player: "I love you."

Templar: "I hate mages."

Definitely and during his death scene (if he can end up dead) too.

Templar: Inquistor! Come closer...I have one thing to say (pauses due to pain) before I past on.

Inquistor: Yeah bro? What is it?

Templar: Mages suck and they're ugly! *drops dead*

Cullen is not an Extremist Templar. He is actually quite merciful in DA2. Sure on DAO right after being tortured he is a bit of a zealot but considering what he has just been through, it is understandable

He could've changed his tune after the events of DA2. He wasn't exactly that quick to act during Marediths  escipades..

Exactly, He's no extremist, he's kind and caring and knows that he should protect the mages not bully them around for what they are and he's seen the worst of both sides and that alone shows that he can't be an extremist at all.<3

We had an extremist mage apostate companion in DA2, so I don't see why not.
Not to mention the extremist elf racist in "Awakening".

No, i know he was pro-templar, but hence the title of the thread, i wrote that maybe you could have a choice to make him even more sure of the templar purpose.

I seriously wouldn't mind a character that isn't taken too seriously like this. Kind of like the HK-47 of the series.

It'd be fairly interesting to see extremist, but chantry-loyal templar deal with having a mage set as his superior in the inquisition actually.
