On the other hand, when they annoucned DA2, the first things they said was we would be playing Hawke, a human. With Inquisition they have been silent on this and one of the most wanted features to return is diffrent races.syllogi wrote...
They're not saying anything yet, but just based on the fact that the hero is going to be fully voiced, it doesn't look good for bringing back playable races.

It's been said time and time again that the voiced protaganist is not why they ditched playable races.syllogi wrote...

The devs aren't yet at liberty to speak about this, I understand, but hopefully we'll all hear more soon

I really want to know what they look like! And their customs etc.
That said I wouldn't want to be shoehorned into playing as a race I knew nothing about.
I hope for the option to choose.

*sigh* I'm not saying we need to bring back origins. But seriously... I want to play a dwarf again.
The only problem with playing a dwarf in DA3 might be the storyline...if we are really working to stop Templar vs Mage war, it makes no sense to be a dwarf. They can't do magic, so why would they care? (especially if you made Harrowmont king)

If they're a surface dwarf, they have as much stake in it as any non-mage.

Could be a lyrium seller that lives on the surface.
I suspect we will be human again, but I'm hoping that we have a chance to play an elf/Kossith/Qunari/dwarf in the future. If the series really is about the world of Dragon Age, it'll be odd having the only heroes of note in the current time be humans.

I've long thought that dwarves could be very effective as templars for this reason.
