Will we find out about Duncan's fate in dragon age 3? We never saw his body in RTO dlc for origins, No sign of his robes/armor or Beard. Did Flemmeth whisk him away like the warden? Or is he now part of the darkspawn? If Logain is still alive in DA3 from save imports. Will Alistair try to kill him for what happend to duncan? Hardend King alistair only agreed to spare logain in the hopes that he would die killing the archdemon, I dont think alistair would let logain live without confronting him once more (maybe in the new comics?) Drunk alistair would also still want revenge on logain as well. Speculation for everyone!

He's dead. Just leave it at that. I'm not sure why some people interpret a cliffhanger ending where there is none.

This is a strange topic....
Well, I suggest replaying the first few hours of DA:O, OP.

Also, we know hardened Alistair doesn't kill Loghain. In DA:Awakening, if you set up that exact scenario (Hardened Alistair as king, Loghain as Grey Warden), Loghain shows up and chats with you about his current assignment with the Wardens.

Ah damn it! Yeah I remember you telling us before back when RTO came out, I was hoping you might of had him come back as a plot twist for DA3 :(

I hope he gets a reference in DA3 though, Past origins it seems the world and Alistair forgot Duncan exsisted.

Haha, wow this thread was so quickly answered, didn't know why you thought he was still alive though.

I did think that after reading the Calling and then playing Origins, he was set up for being an important character.
So, a mention of him here and there wouldn't hurt. But it's the past, man. I don't think it's really necessary at this point in the franchise.

10 years have passed. Outside of Alistair, The Warden, the Drydens and Loghain, there'd probably be a handful of people in Thedas who would know who Duncan was.

Gaider is just playing you all. Duncan is coming back in DA3 as a new plot twist. Imagine his entrance.

"WTF Duncan I thought you were dead??" - Random Grey Warden

"So did I. LOL" - Duncan

Merrill remembers the epic beard.

Probably all who saw it's magnificence do, even if they do not know the name of it's bearer.

Thank God for this reply. For a moment I thought I'd really , really missed something while playing DA:O.

I agree that Duncan is alive, was disguised as Leliana the entire time. Leliana was the one who perished on that battlefield. It was sad. Such a nice fake beard. Only those who romanced the fake Leliana realized the truth -- and they never told anyone she's really Duncan.

Anyway, I hope that clears up alot of confusion for all involved. Duncan is a Seeker now and *still* a transvestite.

I think Duncan was close to his Calling by the time of DAO. Even if by some miracle he survived, I don' t think we'd want to meet him in DA3...

Which Duncan? IIRC there could be more than character named Duncan in DAO.

Boom.

His death was unexpected and brutal, one of the things I really loved with DA:O. It would be very cheep to bring him back just because he was a likable character, sometimes the good guys die and that is a theme that should totally be brought back in DA:I!

Duncan is dead but it would be cool if he had a kid (boy or girl) that's a companion
