Is this mysterie going to be resolved in DA3? Or at least partially? I can only hope. It's one of my most anticipated events regarding Dragon Age. To me, it felt like the biggest choice from DA:O, with a voice in my head saying: "Oh, the implications are going to be huge!"

And then came Witch Hunt.

And then came no answers, only more questions.
And then came...DA3?:o

I wonder what the age of the OGB will be in da3. Anyone have a guess?

He would be around 8 at the end of DA2, if he even exists at all. We don't know the elapsed time between DA2 and DA3, if any.

...I actually don't want to see Morrigan and her god baby again.

I mean, I love her to death, but I can think up my own headcanon just fine, thank you. I just don't want my little Warden/Morrigan/OGB familly screwed up. D:

Yeah, I wanna see what happens to Morrigan in DA3. It looked like there was going to be a massive build up to it in DA2, and then... nothing (most likely because all the DLC fell through.)

Resolutions to storylines plz, people!

The events of Dragon Age: Origins being in the year 9:30, and end in 9:31. So she likely gives birth near the end of 9:31. Witch Hunt takes place in 9:33, so the child is around 1 or 2 at this point.

Dragon Age 2 ends in 9:37, so the child would actually be 6 (a correction on my earlier guess).

Varric's interrogation, however, is actually taking place later, in 9:40, so the child is 9 when Varric is telling his tale.

The way Cassandra talks, the world is on the brink of war, meaning it hadn't really started yet. So we can probably assume DA3 takes place shortly after this, in 9:40 or 41 or so.

Also, in Witch Hunt, Morrigan confirms the child is male, making his likelihood as the PC very small.

They could make the OGB the PC by just making him an origin type character so if you didn't do the ritual then you play as another PC orign

Lol probably ^_^. For those who chose the DR I'd like for them to implement it someway or give us news/clues about what happened with Morrigan and the OGB.

So I was close at 10ish:wizard:. I was about to go back and try to link the dates, glad someone knows it.

I'm not sure where you got this idea from, Morrigan was only mentioned once in the entire game.

I think he means a build up when Witch Hunt happened, setting a tone for DA2. And then nothing.

Ahh, my bad. I forgot that DA:O and DA2 occur side-by-side. I just remember that Flemeth was talking about Morrigan when you deliver the necklace to her, atop the mountain.

Wow, that makes it even more anticlimactic :(

This thread speculates about it already.

General consensus is that  BioWare would butcher this whole topic no matter what they do (a huge problem is the direction they took after DAA/WH), so maybe they should left it untouched.

Wardens involved with Morrigan are the only ones who are acceptable to deal with this. Any new protagonist has no right whatsoever.

I'd be interested, definitely. My canon OGB is also technically an illegitimate prince of Ferelden. Between Old God soul and that, that's a whole lot of power for one little guy.

Something that's always confused me: Assuming a male Warden in DA:O...

Morrigan asks Warden to do the Ritual. If he says no, she asks you to convince Alistair/Loghain to do it. If he says no, why doesn't she approach them independently? Or, better yet, Riordan?

In fact, consider this: What if the ritual only prevents the Warden's death if that Warden is the one to slay the archdemon? Then maybe if the Warden turns down Morrigan, she DOES do the ritual with Riordan, who is killed early in the fight. Therefore when the Warden/Alistair/Loghain kills the archdemon, that warden still dies, but Morrigan gets the OGB. In that case, is there any scenario in which Morrigan can't have the OGB? Did I miss something, or am I just reaching here?

Yes.

I mean, f**k yes. One of the biggest subplots from Origins (both games, rather) just left dangling. It would be a shame if it was never resolved in any way.

"Not in DA3" is not the same thing as "Never".

She tells a female Warden in a romance with Alistair that Riordan has had the taint too long for it to work she needs a Warden where the taint is still somewhat new when you tell her to ask him to do it.

Anyway if she does show up I hope she mentions my OWC nearly killing her.

I liked Morrigan in DA:O. My Warden was glad to have the opportunity to wish Morrigan well, and had mixed feelings about the news that Alistair's son was doing well. She wanted to see the child, but conceded that it was probably better for everyone if the meeting never took place. Conflicting emotions, etc. In the end, she bid Morrigan a fond farewell and let her step through the eluvian unhindered.

In a perfect world, that would be the last I'd see of Morrigan or the OGB, but I know that won't satisfy a lot of players. Especially not those whose Wardens fathered the child themselves.

So yeah, to me, that story is over, but I'm probably in the minority with that.
