They help you to find and elimate several corrupt Jedi, Politicans and generally bad people.
If you are DS. LS Jedi cannot go to eliminate anyone really. Even Malak, my Revan tried to talk him around and turn him back, it was only with reluctance that he killed him. I liked the opportunity to convince people (e.g. in the Sith academy) to change their ways. The way I see it Revan was given a second chance despite committing awful crimes, so he should be tolerant of others. As Bastila said "The Jedi do not execute prisoners, no matter what their crimes".
I liked the ability to play a reformed and contrite Revan, and I would like to see that continued.
One thing I don't understand - why does Revan have a bounty on his head if he killed Malak? The Sith wanting to pay him back?
Not everyone would forgive Revan. And Jedi are not always that forgiving. Don't forget Bastila is an idealist, and rest of the Jedi are not idealists like her.
Their grudge against Revan would taint them and slowly forces them to the dark side of the force. Anger, Rage and unforgiveness will lead to the dark side of the force. Also Within my Kotor 3 story idea, Sith Inflirators are encouraging the Jedi's grudge. that only happens
if Revan is known to the public to be alive . If The public thinks he is dead, Republic and Jedi wants the Ebon Hawk crew for question of the myterious stranger.
Also Depending if you romance Bastila or not, There will be a guy that she will be dating if you didn't romance her. He and her gets married. So No matter who "marries" Bastila, Satele Shan will still be related to Bastila Shan.
Also Depending if you romance Carth or not, There will be a woman that he will be dating if you didn't romance Carth.
Also Depending if you romance Juhani or not, she will still be single and work as a Jedi Shadow Commander.
