I've been considering starting a new DA:O playthrough and following it into DA2, but my "not this again" problem isn't the Fade (which I actually love), it's Orzammar/the Deep Roads. Political intrigue drives me batty, and the Deep Roads are too bloody long. So as much as I enjoy playing through various other portions of DA:O, I have a great many games stalled just outside the gates of Orzammar . . . Why can't there be a "skip the Deep Roads" mod like there's a "skip the Fade" mod? XD I'd have completed a hell of a lot more playthroughs by now!

@Eilaras, re: Bethany. IMO, the best choice for Bethany is honestly the Circle. She's much happier there than in the Wardens, because what she wants is to be normal - and in the Circle, she is. Some people would disagree with me, but to me it's pretty obvious from the game that she's much more content in the Circle.

Someone should make a skip everything but convos and choices mods. It'd save a whole lot of grinding when it comes to new playthroughs.

*EDIT

Might be as simple as removing enemies or reducing their hp to 1(for fights of significance). Doesn't work for puzzles but the most extensive one(Fade) is already skippable.

I have only three things left to achieve in DA II and one in DA 1 from the main quest, and they all take for f'n ever. I am kind of muddling back through them now just for completion's sake, but it's a long haul for all of them, unfortunately.

Doing my long delayed male Hawke playthrough at the moment. I never got my main save prepared for ME3... in fact I still haven't. I'd rather that not happen for DA3.

I really should finish up an Origins game I started back in May. Another Human noble, but this time I wanted to see what it would be like to become King. My canon noble (on the left of this screen) made Alistair king and eventually went with Morrigan in the mirror. Yeah, but now I want the power to rule Fereldan with Anora as my bride.

I have to add, I accidently killed Wynn on this one.  I didn't mean to.  I must have scrolled to far down and said we'd wait for the annulment.

I thought I'd try playing a full run through of the games again. I'm halfway through the Kocari wilds and I'm already bored to death and my eyeballs are screaming at me. Good thing I started now because I may come down to the wire to finish DA:O and DA2 before DA3 comes out.

I think I'm going to do a new personal canon play through. I'm a little unsure which Origin to start it with though. I've sort of decided that I would have my Warden, Hawke and Inquisitor each be a different class, and I'm not sure what to do on that end. I sort of feel that being a grey warden is special enough that I don't want to make him a Mage, but being a Mage feels odd in Kirkwall, and I'm altogether uncertain how fitting or unfitting a Mage will be in the Inquisitor's role :\\

I'm not really the type to go through a second playthrough of a game. I have a number of saves put aside for when I'm in a nostalgic mood and want to re-play a section of either game, but I doubt I'll ever do another full playthrough of either DAO or DA2.

I have actually played all the origin starter characters....And they are all awesome, though Dwarf Commoner and Dalish Elf are quite slow compared to the others.

My problem with DA:O is that somewhere along either the Mage or Dwarf quests I become unbelievably bored and want to quit. I shall persevere however.

I get bored during the Fade quest more than anything. Worst mission in DA:O imo

I thank the "No Fade" mod everytime.

It is essential.  I'm not even sure what it is about the Fade in DAO, but it's about as enjoyable as chewing on a mouthful of gravel.  The dwarven city/deep roads is my favorite part of the game though.

I might play through DAO again at some point (addicted to Rift and Torchlight 2 atm), i doubt I will ever be bored enough to try and make it through DA2 again however.

It's all the loading screens and the billions of transformation needed every time you want go through something that bores me of the fade.

I just replayed DA:O and DA2 about a month ago. I'll probably replay DA2 right before Inquisition comes out, but not the first one again, it's just too long :)

It's good to get in the mood though. Like replaying Mass Effect 2 right before ME3 makes you feel like you're continuing the story, and I found it got me much more into the lore and the world. When I started ME3 I just felt like I was going straight on, further along the adventure.

Also, I find a playthrough right before the next game makes you more aware of the world and the events preceding the next game. So instead of thinking at every choice 'what happened to the mages again?' or 'which one was Zevran?' or 'Which city is he referring to?' I know exactly what's going on.

I just started playing another Dalish Elf playthrough...man I love being able to roleplay a fanatically pro-Elf, human-hater that is still good at heart and willing to sacrifice himself to save a human kingdom thereby proving his oppressors wrong. In the same game I can play a Dwarven nobleman.

I would replay DA2, but I don't want to add to their metrics for the game. Plus I can't stomach the wave combat in DA2...that's not the only reason I won't replay DA2, but it's a big one.

Agreed. I really want a similar experience in DA3.
I'm currently making a new canon Warden for DA3, since I managed to buy some dlcs. I'll wait to play DA2, because I'll have to decide if I want to buy Legacy and/or MotA.

What I want to play is Lilianas song dlc, but I don't have da:o. Minus that I don't think I see my replaying 2, and maybe a bit of 1 but not a lot.

Deletede my previous play throughs for both DA:O and DA2 last week to start from scratch. There's a limited number of campaigns allowed on PS3, including the DLC adventures, o I had to make space.
Playing as male human noble, with the class of rogue.
Thus far I have:
- saved Arl Eamon, and his whole family, letting Jowan redeem himself
- saved the mages from Uldred, not allowing Cullen his Right of Anullment
- respected the ashes of Andraste, allowing Genitivi to tell people of the discovery
- got all smoochy with Leliana, who will be my one and only squeeze
- told Morrigan I would kill Flemeth (which I will)
- returned to Ostagar and gave Cailan a funeral pyre
- and am now confronting witherfang, with intent to let Zathrean die and cure the werewolves
- intend to continue the trend of being "good" throughout, but I am going to save my hide and sleep with Morrigan.

What I can't decide right now is what to do with Alistair. I usually make him king, but I'm unsure this time. Debating if I want to let him continue to just be a Warden, or even give Loghain a chance at redemption and loose him all together. We shall see!
