Am I the only person that loves the Fade section of Origins and detested the Fade section of DA2?
And the same for the Deep Roads too... DA2's were just not surreal and long enough, respectively. At least for me they weren't. And DA2's Deep Roads were just too clean!
If we go back down in DA3 I do so hope they look like they were abandoned for centuries like they did in Origins.

No you're not the only one. I thought the same things, especially about the deep roads because I think Bartrand says something like, "We're miles below the surface." and they supposedly went further into the deeproads than anyone and found some extremely ancient thaig but it just didn't feel that way and the quest was too short with almost zero enemies. I would have preferred to travel through an Origins style deeproads to get to the ancient thaig.

I'm stuck with my sixth playthrough. Female human mage. Completed Circle and Redcliffe, now doing Brecillian Forest. She romanced Leliana and the relationship has already reached love status. Yawn. Leliana is so... dull. And my mage is as dull as she is. xD I might switch to a Zev romance again, haha.

I might switch to my dwarven commoner. The only origin I have not completed a game with yet. I also still want to do a Morrigan romance, so this will become an odd combination...

Well, know that we know that we have quite the wait before us before DA 3 comes out, why don't will kill some time by replaying the DA series from the start.

I've already started a city elf rogue playthrough. I think it would quite fun for people to post their play through here and what decisions they've made during the game.

Why city elf? Because I just love that starting adventure of saving your woman and killing that vile noble pig. I usually play DW warrior but I'll switch it up with a Rogue Duelist/Assassin this time.

I've just gone through the city elf origins quest. Ah, killing Vaughan never gets old. It is my favorite origin for a reason. ;)

While waiting for the WoW: Mists of Pandaria box to arrive I've started a new DAO play.

This is different for me in a few ways, the most significant being that this is my first Ultimate Sacrifice play. I'm still thinking about how it want to work it out at the Landsmeet. I'll probably make Anora queen simply because I choose Alistair most of the time, and I want this to be a contrary play from my canon.

This is also a big change for me in that this is the first play where I've made use of several mods. I downloaded several hair mods, a respec mod so I can have everyone exactly as I want them, as well as the completely wonderful Dragon Age Redesigned.

From there I'll be moving straight onto DA2, since my Warden will be dead and I will have no interest in playing DAA with Zombie Warden or some random Orlesian Warden.

I started a week ago with a Arcane Warrior, its actually kinda funny. After some levels you just don't die without having Shimmering Shield. Going to the dwarves now.

Also thinking of a rogue tank, yes i don't like standards

started a second playthrought as a noble female(to romance alistair) rogue (to change from mage) but stopped after the werewolf quest
i find any other cast than mage boring to play in dao (too slow) or maybe you need to level up a lot for more option cause rogue are nice in awakening
i got to know sten story, i thought it was a possession or something else, but given he kills those people that save him just for his sword, next time he stays in his cage

currently a rogue in dao, pro templar, bethani at the circle, isabella on the run and fenris romanced

so before da3 ultimate edition comes will make next playthrought canon
----dao, human arcane mage, romancing zevran, sacrifing himself, sten rotting in his cell, morrigan going throught the eluvian

----da2 warrior, pro mage, bethani at the circle (would prefer having warden carter), no respect of kunary, keep isabella, anders alive, not sure who to romance, fenris or anders

CAN T PLAY RETURN TO OSTAGAR THOUGHT IT S LOADED ANY ADVISE???????

Been playing a Human Noble Female off and on a few months. I already know how I want this to end, but the Deep Roads are annoying to me.
-Romance Alistair (Hardened)
- Side with the Mages
- Side with the Werewolves
- Kill Connor (Rather have Isolde do it)
- Side with Bhelen
- Destroy the Anvil (As Shale wants)
- Save the Ashes
- Convince Alistair to do the ritual
- Become Queen.
Awakening
-Recruit EVERYONE
- Be forgiving towards Nathaniel
- Protect the Farms
- Hire the Dark Wolf
- Strengthen Vigil's Keep to max
- Burn the City

I haven't decided anything for DA2. Yet. Since I like Carver more than Bethany; I'll likely have Hawke be a mage.

Considering the anonuncement I think I'll be re-doing my Mage canons as well as taking the other origins I didn't try out for a swing. Gave the dwarf commoner origin a shot the other night and gotta say I loved the dialogue. I'm still iffy on rolling a warrior this time around though. They were always rediculously boring for me until awakening.

Well in my case, she hadn't been to the Circle yet (and going there while in Redcliff castle was not an option and should IMO never have been one) and there was no way in hell that she was releasing Jowan. Only one option left. Kill the demon in the castle.

Oh... If you ask Jowan's opinion he can do a blood magic ritual using Isolde's blood so you can go into the fade and save him. Isolde volunteers to save her child, and Jowan can still be punished (either sent back to the Circle or executed) afterward.

Man... If Alistair blew a gasket after sacrificing Isolde, I can only imagine his reaction to you killing Connor.

I plan to do this, but not until much closer to release. Which is actually difficult because I'm very tempted to replay them now and have DA on my mind a lot lately

DA2 is much easier to replay IMHO.

Ugg, not for me. I got as far as Kirkwall on my second time playing DA2 when i quit the game and havent been back since.

Right now i on on about my 10th play thru of DA:O. While the Mage Tower and Deep Roads do drag on, the game as a whole is soo much more engaging, imo.

The story of both games was top notch but it was the more arcade/action rpg mechanics of DA2 that left a sour taste in my mouth. The Darkspawn evolving into some silly looking goobers didnt help either.

I did just purchase MotA for DA2 and will play it after giving the game another shot.

I have high hopes for DA:I. The tales they have told thus far have been great. They settings and atmosphere outstanding. Here is to hoping DA:I bridges the gap between the first two games.

I know. I've used that option many times before. But my warden did not want to release him the first time around and have him run around doing whatever he could think of...and when it came up when discussing what options we had she declined it. She does not work with bloodmages in any circumstances, no matter what.

Alistair was actually not all that mad. A few lines, I said something like "I didn't see any other way" and he agreed. I only lost like...10-12 reputation :S Oh and also used the "so this is about you and Eamon" line. Probably helped as well.

Just started playing a female city elf, this one not as enthralled with human society as my dalish one was. Suppose when you've lived beneath something for so long, it doesn't look as exotic and interesting as when you've been completely away from it all your life. Just got to Ostagar. Heck, I'll boot up the xbox and continue right away.

I'm going to do two playthroughs, one female human mage (That way I'm related to Hawke!), and one male human noble.

I've done origins on my mage already, did awakening but screwed up, so I'm starting that one over.
I've:
Flirted with Cullen, and been nice to him
sided with the mages
Cured the werewolves
Bhelen is king
Saved Connor with the circle
Used the green blade and then returned it. hope that boy shows up in DA III as a badass hero like the epilogue says
kept the ashes, but I killed that professor guy
Made Anora queen, killed Alistair and recruited Loghain
Romanced no one
Made Loghain do Morrigan's dark ritual
BFF'd everyone (except Alistair. LOL.)
Killed Dryden, spared that old mage dude
I'll be friendly with Morrigan in WH
On a side note, I asked Anora at the end to free the circle from the templars, I really hope this'll get consequences in DA III.

In awakening I will:
BFF and recruit everyone into the grey wardens
Forge Vigilance (hope it returns)
Save Amaranthine, spare the Messenger (is there a way to make all squaddies survive if I save Amaranthine? Party setup I mean, I upgrade the whole keep etc.)
I'll ally the Architect

My Human male noble:
BFF everyone again
Save Bhelen
Ally with werewolves (Witherfang romance in DA III Bioware pls:wizard:)
Defile the ashes, just to screw the chantry over
Saved Connor with the circle
Used the green blade and then returned it. hope that boy shows up in DA III as a badass hero like the epilogue says
Ally with mages (was gonna make this a pro-templar playthrough for DA III, but I just can't. I'm a liberterian and I simply cannot justify siding with a group of fanatic, self-important whimps who try to stigmatise those who they consider freakish just because they differ from the rest)
Romance Morrigan, and do the dark ritual
Marry Anora, tell Alistair to shove off, and recruit Loghain. (I'm starting to wonder if I have something against Alistair, subconciously. I kinda enjoy him as far as I know, but ever since I realized I could have Loghain instead of Alistair he's always gotten the short end of the straw...)
Go with Morrigan in WH to see my Godchild.
Kill Mage stud and Dryden in Warden's keep
kill flemeth (done in mage playthrough aswell)

Awakening:
Same as mage playthrough, but I'll kill the Architect and the messenger. (Ain't no darkspawn love to be found here, no sir)

EDIT: I'll harden Alistair and Leliana. Alistair survives on my male noble, so it could have consequences.

I started new DA: origins playtrought just couple of days ago with female dalish. Have cleared Redcliff from walking dead and just this morning arrived to mage tower. Gonna continue after finishing this post :) This is my 12th PT if my memory serves me right (god how I hate the character limit) and havent played origins for a year now. It actually feels better now than it has felt for a looong time. Must be something to do with too many back to back playtrouhgs :D Ok, time to go and save those mages, bye.

I actually decided to try something new and restarted with a Human Mage. I want my Hawke to be related to the Hero of Ferelden. And it turns out I love playing a mage. Fire Mages do a lot of damage. Oddly enough I have never actually play a mage all they way through before. I've played all the origins but, as in most RPGs, if I've got mage companions then I play a Fighter/Rogue.

Still, playing a Mage has been surprisingly fun. Inferno with Paralysing Explosion is amazingly powerful. Though I'm having a hard time choosing between Leliana and Morrigan as LI. Might end up with Morrigan since between the 2 of us we can cover the majority of spells.

Team would look like:

Alistair + Morrigan + Zevran

Well, I've done Redcliffe where I unlocked blood mage at the dumb boy's expensnse (MY mages evilness makes me lean towards Morrigan as LI). Its off to the Circle Tower to save my brothers in magic! Why can't I use Morrigan without killing the mages.

Note: I will of course stick with Leliana long enough to have sexy time with Isabela. So I can hear about it latter.

Started an evil (male)mage playthrough of Origins. His backstory is that he is Tevinter born and was caught and put in the circle during a trip to Ferelden to buy slaves, he is very cunning and hides his true nature while imprisoned. I'm gonna do All the bad things...lol, they will rue the day they ever let him out of the tower.

Lucius: "He's already dead, see?" *slits throat of the crawling guy in the wilds*
Alistair: "Does the word INSANE mean anything to you?"
Lucius: *mad cackling fit*

I keep trying to replay DA2, but as soon as I get to the city I feel so hemmed in and quit. It is the first game that actually made me feel claustrophobic, and I'm not ever claustrophobic IRL.  Then I try to play DAO on the Xbox, and it's so ugly I have to quit.

Recently finished a playthrough with my first female char (human noble)

Rescued mages, cured the wolves, Harrowmond king, anvil destroyed, Connor alive
Alistair king and LI (I wanted to see the royal wedding mod scene)
Alistair did ritual

Awakening:
full upgraded keep, Amaranthine saved, killed Architect

Witch hunt:
Morrigan went through the mirror.

I don't plan to replay DA2 with an import of that char, because I don't like the game.
