I keep trying to replay DA2, but as soon as I get to the city I feel so hemmed in and quit. It is the first game that actually made me feel claustrophobic, and I'm not ever claustrophobic IRL.  Then I try to play DAO on the Xbox, and it's so ugly I have to quit.

A dragon age fan that doesn't like replaying dragon age games....HERESY! :P

I think I might stick with Leliana as LI after all. Its her voice, it purrs to me, I swear.

I just finshed my Mage. she romanced Alistar, only to be dumped. she lefted the curse off the werewolves, saved the circle [ it was her home after all] Did everything Harrowmount asked her to do, only to give the crown to Bheln. she got the ashes and killed Giovani to stop anyone misuseing them... made Alsitar King, rfused Morrigans offer. and made the scarifice.

Next game off DA:O is going to be a dwarf noble. Witch will be after i get though my DA2 playthough, on witch i have..Plans..MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA *Ahem,* sorry.

I am going back to play an elf.  Don't know if I want to be city or Dalish.  This time I am going to romance Zevran.  My import for DA2 is a human noble married to Alistair who is king so that will be my DA3 import.  I agree with hating the fade.  That is the one quest I really don't like.  I will probably go there first just so I can get it over and done with. I would love to be able to skip it but I play on console, so that isn't going to happen. Posted Image

I am actually having a lot of fun playing through Origins by:

1. console-leveling myself to the cap
2. putting the difficulty on Nightmare
3. gogogo

Don't ask me why this is more fun than leveling the old-fashioned way, but it is. Imma try this with DA2 when I get Origins finished.

I finally bought Awakening, so I am going through that for the first time. I think I've got all the DLC outside of Leilana's song, GOA, and the one where you play as the darkspawn.

Yep, just started a re-run playthrough of my cannon human noble Warden. Going to play through all DLCs and side missions. Make sure I get EVERYTHING.

I was going to do a DAO --> DA2 runthrough and got as far as the first half of Ostagar before uninstalling DAO and going right into DA2. I know it's the unpopular view, but I really do enjoy that game so much more. :P

I'm planning to do a run through both games that I'll port over to da3. I can't choose between Dwarf noble or Human noble however

Or elf mage, or dalish elf. I may have to run through three or four

I don't think I can do that.

Origins is fine and all. I love characters in it and story is quite enjoyable. However after finishing DA:O I have to play thru Awakening which is the worst (well in tie with NWN:SoU) Bioware game to the date for me.

Then there is DA2. If I can play that game I would finish my Warden Carver run. I can barely finish a mission as now I found that game utterly boring. Even Isabela and Aveline ain't enough to save it from tedious and repeating missions. It feels like some low class MMO.

Thankfully I have enough saves ready for DA3.

I am planning on starting a new playthrough of the entire DA series as an evil character. I haven't ever done a full completionist evil playthrough of the DA series, so it is something I have been thinking about for a while.

Really? I find playing evil characters quite.. satisfying. Probably something a little ****ed up in that.. xD

My main Warden was:

Human male Mage.
Blood Ritual at the Urls castle, didn't dispel the demon, accepted offer and bought Morrigans loved.
Kept ashes as a relic to prove that Andraste was a mage, killed the guy though, didn't want him spreadin' no Chantry filth xD
Killed Wynne (not gunna lie found her bare annoying in origins anyway, was just happy I finally had a character that it was in character to killed her) and sided with the Mages.
Supported Bhelen, kept Anvil.
Sided with Dalish.
Accepted Loghains offer, exiled Alistair (was hard, he's my second favourite character after Morrigan.. but it just felt so right for my evil Warden! xD)
Anora as queen.

Romance was of course Morrigan, did the ritual, went after her in Witch Hunter.

Well basically every evil action you could do in Origins (within moderation. I didn't exactly go round stabbing elves, would've seemed excessive). Was quite fun. I don't see it as evil, just madly renegade with a hint of selfishness xD.

I just finished a male human mage playthrough for Origins (still working on Awakening).

I still hate playing the mage tower levels. The Deep Roads segment during A Paragon of her Kind still bores me to tears, but I can tough it out. It's good to interact with Morrigan again.

All in all... Origins isn't as awesome as I remember. Still a good game and worth some more replays, but I see now that my nostalgia goggles have fogged my view.

I think there is a mod on the nexus forum that lets you bypass some quests and still lets you gain xp and stuff like that

Oh look at that, I just started another DA:O -> DA2 run. I'm playing Elf Mage who started off being quite moderate in her mage/templar/chantry views. Didn't really like being confined to a tower and dreamt of exploring but accepted that The Circle is her home. After Jowan escapes the Circle though she started questioning everything and after seeing what demons and blood magic can do at redcliffe she is now horrified by blood magic but still doesn't like how she herself is treated as a mage. It is nice to have such a conflicted character this time around, poor Amalia is gunna end up a huge mess by the end of this... and I love it ha!

I just finished The Fade and my god I forgot how LONG it was and how annoying it was and I have the biggest love/hate relationship with it. (I love the concept of the quest and The Fade itself is so pretty)

Off to find some Ashes next, cause Dragons!

Female city elf is done now.

Connor is dead (Isolde did it I swear!)
Wynne is dead along with the circle
Wearwolves cured and Zathrian dead
Avernus lives
Harrowmond is king
Anvil destroyed
Lelianna is the LI
Alistair and Anora are married (Alistair not hardened)
Dragon cult killed
Alistair did the ritual with Morrigan

Fully upgraded keep
Velanna was killed in the Wending wood
Ameranthine was saved
Architect is dead

She kept her promise to Morrigan and therefore did not search for her in WH.

Time to import it to DA2

I'm trying a replay as an elven rogue in DAO and realizing a few things:

1. Rogues aren't that great in DAO. They were such ungodly killing machines in 2 that I forgot they lack that blender ability in 1 and with the shuffle, shuffle trying to get the backstabs takes forvere and often doesn't hit the right guys.
2. Elves sort of suck too. As much as I love the City Elf origin (the best of the lot) the look on elves is awful. I just look at myself and think, short human.
3. I really, really, really hate Duncan and the Wardens in general. These guys are tools.
4. People complain about the dialog wheel but man, the dialog options I want just are not there in DAO all too often either,

Oddly I think the Dalish origin plays into DA2 better than any other because of the characters and the mirror BUT I always found it the least satisfying of the origins stories.

Completely agree. I had completely forgotten that DA:O elves looked like that and I really hate it.

Another thing that is annoying me is how slow the staff normal attack is, I am much too used to DA2 with its faster attacks.
I also keep trying to use spells while I am moving... but that is GW2s fault.

I've got three separate playthroughs through DA:O, awakening, and DA2, planning out a Ultimate sacrifice playthrough.

That's the thing that's having me feel indecisive

I know what you guys mean. I avoided using mages myself in DA:O becuase of how slow they felt. I usually just let my scripts control my mage companion. Still, I can see now why so many felt playing a mage makes DA:O a joke in diffculty.  Between Glyph of Repulsion and Fireball/Inferno, nobody can touch me in this game. I can certainly see it possible to solo the game with a mage.

I'm almost done with the mage tower. Thank god for the skip the fade mod, I can jump right to the epic fade boss fight.

We must play rogues very differently in DAO because mine are seriously powerful.

Yeah, DA:O's difficulty isn't determined in the Options screen, but rather by how many mages you've taken with you. :)

i was half way through my elf mage when it glitched. i have no intentions on reapeting the mage origin, so im gunnu be a dual weilding dalish warrior (dalish is my favorite)
