Well, know that we know that we have quite the wait before us before DA 3 comes out, why don't will kill some time by replaying the DA series from the start.
I've already started a city elf rogue playthrough. I think it would quite fun for people to post their play through here and what decisions they've made during the game.
Why city elf? Because I just love that starting adventure of saving your woman and killing that vile noble pig. I usually play DW warrior but I'll switch it up with a Rogue Duelist/Assassin this time.
I've just gone through the city elf origins quest. Ah, killing Vaughan never gets old. It is my favorite origin for a reason.
Dude - I'm totally with you. On the topic, that is. Not in the Deep Roads. Or am I?
But seriously, I started replaying it maybe a few weeks ago. I already beat DAO with a Dalish rogue. She ended up romancing Alistair and Zevran. Killed Connor. Isolde will have to deal. Told Branka to f*** off. Saved both the Dalish and the werewolves. Stole Logain's crown. Beat Isabela at cards. Accepted Zev's earring on the FIRST offer - decided not to be a whiny b**** about it, you know? heh. Let Allistair duel/kill Logain.. Made Anora the queen. Got Morrigan pregnant. Became best buds with every companion - even Sten! Didn't die. Plans to travel.
I am just into Act 2 of DA2. I decided on a female, mage Hawke. White hair, green eyes, weird tattoo. She's more offensive, but knows healings. Uses a lot of fire spells. Sarcastic, typically. Knows blood magic too. Ended up rivalmancing Fenris so far. Pretty close friends/high approval with every companion except Fenris. But Fenris is at 100% rivalry so it's like a weirdo relationship thing going on there. Flirts with Sebastian even though it's not going to go anywhere. (She's nice enough to let him be a chantry boy...) Made Carver a grey warden. He should be joining the ranks of Alistair soon by the end of this act. (I've actually never seen that cut scene before...)
p.s. My favorite campaign is the Dalish! And the one I hate the most is the Deep Roads, because it goes on forever. I don't understand why that one had to be the longest of all the campaigns. I don't see why they couldn't have balanced them out a bit better...

I need to finish the other ones when I have time, I might even do a playthrough against both games just to be refeshed on the story.

Playthrough went as follows ...
* Ruthless/No Nonsense playthrough
* Origin: Female elf mage (flirted with Cullen)
* Recruited everyone; hardened Alistair, hardened Leliana, and earned Sten's respect.
* Romanced Alistair and Zevran; chose Zevran when the choice was forced on me.
* Killed Isolde to save Connor only to let the desire demon keep him in exchange for knowledge of blood magic. I wanted there to be some sort of consequence for becoming a blood mage, so she knows that Connor is unfinished business. I role play it so that when my Warden disappears later in life, it actually has something to do with this decision.
* Sided with the mages (to this day I still can't side with the Templars). Had an awkward moment with Cullen.
* Sided with Harrowmont; Preserved the Anvil.
* Killed the warewolves and killed Zathrian.
* Preserved the sanctity of the Sacred Urn of Ashes (she had no trouble selling a kid's soul to a demon, killing the warewolves or enslaving dwarves in stone shells, but defile the sacred ashes of a prophet she isn't sure existed to begin with? She wasn't touching that. Go figure.)
* Demanded Eamon free Jowan only to watch him get set back to the circle.
* Killed Sophia; saved Avernus and encouraged him to continue his research.
* Heard Flemmeth out and decided to lie to Morrigan.
* Exiled Alistair (hardest thing for me to do in the game).
* Forced Loghain to do the dark ritual with Morrigan as punishment. Parted from Morrigan as a sister and friend. Convinced Zevran to stick around and help me rebuild the Wardens.
Awakening:
* Recruited everyone including Nathanial as punishment.
* Completely fortified Vigil's Keep.
* Burned Amaranthene to the ground without so much as breaking a sweat. Let the messenger live.
* Saved the Architect and bid Justice good ridence.
I couldn't do Witch Hunt even if I wanted to because I've reached my character limit, but this character wouldn't chase after Morrigan.
I'll import this save to a new DAII playthrough when we're closer to a DAIII release. I know for sure I will play as a rogue (probably as a shadow/dualist). I've never sided with the Templars, so I might try that ... but I tried it once before and wasn't able to go through with it. I'm going to attempt to romance Sebastian because a chaste rogue is just too funny for words. Or maybe she'll just be a wonton woman changed by love? We'll see.

a little tip for everyone gettin bored in orzammar: put on some damn music, it's what i do at least and i personally think orzammar was the coolest of all campaigns.
I once got to Cairidin's Cross, finished about half of that map...and then went to the Dalish instead. When I finished their story I went back to Cairidin's Cross and finished the Orzammar bit. Sometimes a change of scenery really helps. Other times you just slog through it. Yeah, it's samey. Yeah, it's long. But it has some really good moments in it too.
