Would Bioware ever add vampires in Dragon Age?

I'd like to see vampires, either the deathly beautiful &seductive kind or complete monstorous kind, or both. I'd like to see a quest or game dedicated to the vampire hunting cliche, or one that delves into vampire society that looks at vampire lord, vampire politics, clan relations and  vampire thirst in a dark nature. Bioware could do this later, I just think it would be a interesting addition on top of Darkspawn, Dragon and Demons. Why not add vampirse?

Could be alot of fun. We had werewolves in DA:O, and overall the Deep Roads had some creepy segments attached, so I could see Bioware combining the two for Vampires.

/signed.

Edit: Actually, let's take this a step further: I'd love for Bioware to divert the resources which go into implementing the giant spider into implementing vampires.

Double edit: Since people are pointing out that vampires do already exist in the lore, perhaps it might be better to say that it would be fun for Bioware to give an in-game focus on vampires.

Vampires already exist. Demon of hunger possessed people are considered vampires.

Vampires, IIRC, are a variant on hunger demon-possessed corpses. They're not really intelligent.

They already have Cullen, may as well add Edward in front of it.

Maybe I'm remembering completely incorrectly, but wasn't there a topic somewhere where a dev mentioned that a particular type of demon possessing a corpse could create a vampire-like being. Don't know how said topic (assuming I'm remembering correctly) could be found, but maybe someone else remembers it.

EDIT: ok, looks like someone found it already.

The closest thing I want is a physically superior monster that feeds on liquefied iron from forges or bloodstreams.

Any species needs some reason to exist or origin. Vampires don't really fit with the way undead work in DA, so they shouldn't really be here.

Indeed. Their low rank in the demon "hierarchy" implies that there would have to be extraordinary circumstances to get one that isn't mindless, considering they're on the second lowest rung above rage demons.

And by extraordinary, I mean a Lady of the Forest thing.

This game has werewolves so it must have vampires for one simply does not exist without the other.

I wouldn't be surprised since we already have werewolves, but i kinda find vampires so over-milked by modern media that I always prey for them not to appear.

Perhaps I just don't see the appeal that they need to come up in every fantasy setting.

Incorrect. In the Da verse werewolves were created by a spirit of nature being bound to wolf and biting humans. So it stands that a spirit of hunger can be bound to a bat to create human vampies.

Something akin to vampires would be a morally inverted Wynne situation. A mage is on the verge of dying and a more malicious spirit sustains this dead/dying mage. The spirit can not sustain the body if it doesn't consume a lot of lyrium or blood.

Aren't blood mages suppose to be the vampires of DA?

Well, they have some resemblances, but they are still human. They're not revennants.

I don't see why not since there was werewolves in Origins. With the exception of possessed corpses or abominations, vampires in the DA universe could be mages who master blood magic to extend their own life by sacrificing/drinking others

I think it could be fun. Well, so long as one quest about vampires is a dedicated homage to NES-era Castlevania. I'd like to know what BioWare would do with those tropes.

I think a vampire blood mage could do some ridicules damage if vampires actually existed.
