Would Bioware ever add vampires in Dragon Age?

A recently deceased corpse (a la the Baronesse), inhabited by a more powerful desire or hunger demon seems rather lore-friendly.
One can think of Cole from Asunder as a vampire like being. It uses the blood of his kills to make himself invisible to others and to keep himself from fading away. In fact, Cole might be a spirit that entered a very recently deceased body, which seemed to preserve some of the original human's memories and personality that merged afterwards with the spirit. The spirit even forgot that it is one.

Some players don't want DA to copy too much fro other fantasy rpgs.
Doesn't bother me.
Some players have speculated there are vampires already in the game we aren't aware of and point to the " Friends of Red Jenny" as a possibility .
shrugs.
We don't know yet.

They already have Cullen, may as well add Edward in front of it.

We already have vampires, they don't drink blood but they do scary things with it: Blood mages.

Now seriously: I would like that they didn't use vampires/werewolves/same cliche monsters. And before someone rages me (as it is custom in this forums), I just think those monsters are already overused in all media and that Dragon Age team should try to come up with other ideas for monsters.

As are orcs (or variations thereof), or demons that possess people (magic users in particular).

The darkspawn certainly had an orchish vibe. The Battle of Ostagar looked like a battle from Lord of the Rings.

Yes, they are the typically always chaotic evil enemy that you can slaughter with no moral qualms, since they are always want to kill and ravage and destroy and do unspeakable things to whomever they might capture. Even the way they reproduce felt very inspired by how the orcs in LotR were created.

I think vampires could work in Dragon Age, but they'd be more like wendigos than anything.

I don't really see why they would.

Regarding their reproduction, I think the inspiration was the comedy-horror movie Slither.

They already have; corpses possessed by hunger demons.
