I've run into a number of bugs lately, was wondering if there's been a patch to address this. I'm using an XBox 360, if that makes a difference.
My bugs:
1) Often at the end of a combat, the console takes several minutes to acknowledge the combat has ended. From corpses not glittering for several minutes to me standing in the dwarven proving grounds w/o nothing to do, this creates serious delays in gameplay.
2) For some reason, my custom names get overriden. I try to name a new Human Noble "Branden" and he's "Aedan" instead when it gets to the game.
What's the problem here?

Personally I haven't experienced those problems but I have had character dialogue blank out while the lips are flapping.
My BF had a glitch happen where his spell/talent wheel menu ghosted out and wouldn't let him choose any actions. So his characters battled in their tactical settings instead and he was helpless to do anything until the battle was over. That occurred a few times.

Memory leaks tend to cause the delays. After a few hours of play you should probably power the xbox off then on again.
Sometimes you can force the cut-scenes to play by pausing the game and un-pausing it or going into your character inventory and switching things around to get the system to run its background checks.
As for custom names, when creating a character if you back up to redo or fix something it will default back to the base name. Remember to double check your name before proceeding.

I've had the combat bug, but it only takes about 10sec for my game to realize the baddies are dead.
As for the name bug, I've not had any experience with this, but I think ReverendJynx's comment list a probable cause.

Actually no, Reverend, the name glitch happens to me as well, it is not going back and canceling my modifications. I've got 5 aedan's on my save game files trying to find a way around this. for some reason it will save all my other changes, but when i start the game the character's name is aedan.

The name glitch, happend to me too, i realized that if i press start the name goes back the default name, so i changed it back to the one i wanted and pressed "a" on "done" , that worked for me.
