Hope this is not a stupid question....
Can someone tell me how exps are being distribute to all the companions? I know they are share the same exps if they are all played, but how about those who are not selected?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know, I think if one is kill enemies gain more xp than one are not but yet in a party during game. I think, since I had been playing female noble rouge, she got this cheat bow, almost kill one hit, so I use her and she kind of faster level than female mage without cheat item kill one hit, she don't kill enemie very much since she is a support of party rather than a damage. So safe for me to said, if someone kill enemie, they gain more xp than one who don't kill enemies but support, I think.

I know they all advance with me... But in what rate? Same rate regardless of whether I play them or not?

They are kept one level below your character if you do not bring them along.
They gain the same amount as the PC if brought along.

Even if it was a stupid question theres plenty of them here so no worries it better to know then not know. Members in camp advance a little slower then your party but all exp goes to everyone. Also if you have not got some allies yet they auto level. So it is best to gather all the ones you want before you hit high level or they have their stats automatically allocated according to your current level.

Yeah, I haven't had Alister with me since I got Sten. He was barely level 7 when I quit using him. I am now level 10, and Alister is level 9.
