^ Aveline has an item from an item pack. It's a ring, called "The Guardian's Weighted Backhander". I suspect it's something like this.

Also, the pole arm that will motivate me to play a Warrior (instead of Rogue or Mage):

Bonus points for being able to craft weapons in a modular fashion. That way we can equip Morning Star's as the head on our flails!!!

our you could change the head and the tail of your noble-ax as per medieval manuscript.

it would be nice to have weapon that can do several type of damages and having a difference in speed between the top heavy weapon and weapon more balanced.

Should get a fried chicken drumstick for a weapon. Hurl it at enemies and they turn into a fried chicken which you can eat for health or trade.

Would be an awesome easter egg lmao

Yes. Loads of different weapons, I want to steam roll through DA3 with this Posted Image
And call it THE DIVINE FIST or or....THE MAKERS FIST..something. But include this weapon :o

Spiked Gloves, Glove Nails, Cestus. I'd like to see these types of weapons as well.

Pollaxes not being in any DA-game? Well, okay. Halberds not in any either? I suppose I can take that. No spears? Now this is the breaking point for me. THE most common weapon used by humanity god knows for how many thousands of years is not in? What the hell BioWare?! Okay, so you had that spear mage staff in DA2, but none for warrior? It's just silly that there were no spears in any of the DA games so far.

DA3 should have atleast halberds and spears, but I have absolutely no faith in BioWare implementing this particular thing.

There are so many more possibilities...Japanese, Chinese, 18 Century weapons...the team could go all out.

I think (If the rumours are true and we'll be visiting multiple nations) we should have some different styles of weapons too. I imagine Orlais would have musketeer-style blades, falchions and polearms. Maybe the Tevinters would have a pointy and 'autch' looking style of weaponry.

Or...Maybe the team could do a 'Guild Wars 2' and implement somekind of transmutation device, allowing you more creative freedom.

Me? I'm waiting for the day Dragon Age let's me stick a pole up a Blood Mage's arse. Since staffs have an overlarge circumference, I think a nice, thin spear tip will suffice.

That's something that's common in most games. Even Skyrim has it, but they do a much better job of hiding it. Plus, it's in first-person.

One thing the DA team should keep in mind is how very useful the ability to have a primary and secondary sets available really is. Example: having a rogue who has the skills to use both daggers and cross bows/long bows and being able to switching between them at the touch of a button, or at the very least pause the game and switch like in Dragon Age: Origins.

I blame Castlevania on the original NES for the morning star/flail foul up.

People want more variety of weapons but at the same time demand sheathes which inevitably limits the shape of the blade.

Yes, definitely this.

Also skins to customise weapons. Having to use a weapon that has the look you want but is only good for early gameplay is not good; the only mod I used for DA2 was to let me use the Staff of Parthelon for the whole game.

Let us craft our own iconic weapon's appearance, that will level with the PC.  Please?
Please please?

Nice red uniforms and an almost fanatical devotion to the pope!

Throwing knives for rogues would be cool - short ranged attack - maybe an ability, since it would be difficult to give that enough meat to put it on par with something like dual wield or archery. I thought whips sounded a little silly at first, but it could be a decent enough idea if executed well.

Proper flails/maces for Warrior. Halberds/polearms/spears might be pretty cool. Bigger, meaner hammers...

For Mages? Amalur did a good job - staffs for heavier attacks, scepters for more rapidfire playstyle, spells available regardless.
