I love using Talis in Mark of Assassin DLC, and even used mods to import her wep to my other characters.

A Morning Star is a spikey club/mace while a mace is well basically a club with a medal ball that has no spikes ...... yea humanity is so originalo Ventus wrote...

No. It's a different type of mace.
That is a flail, as shown by the chain connecting the head of the weapon to the handle (hilt?).
A morning star can technically be either a flail or a mace, but in regards to my earlier post, I am correct.
*And I did this without looking at Allan's post.

Think of the potential with a rogue class using the chain whip.

What it needs imo is a greater variety of weapon and armor models. DAO was terrible at this, DA2 was much better, but DA3 can go even further.

Yes it does. I said that. But it should use older ones too.

I think most everyone can agree there needs to be more weapon types & styles, now if only bioware could figure that out to.....
Man, Bioware is so thick-headed, right? They just don't understand the concept that people like more choices! Ha ha, what a bunch of maroons. Tsk tsk.
I mean, surely the only reason we don't have flails, spiked chains, whips, and spears is because they don't understand that it would be cool to have those things.

And I want spears that can be used in one hand with a shield.

I have no problem with what bioware already has. Honestly, its high fantasy and not ninja gaiden. other random weapons just seem silly and out of place. I could see including spears but honestly including unique weapons and corresponding combat styles would only make sense for companions. (large glaive like weapons were already but into the game though they functioned like two handed weapons...which they really are).

I rather BioWare focus on more important things like evolving the romances and creating a new story, one that may or may not shame Origins. Weapons are purely an aesthetic feature that doesn't contribute to character development/roleplaying.

Not to be rude, but they are mages....they just need potions, anything else beyond a stave or conventional fantasy weapon is just an embellishment. Mages get to blow things up with there hands they dont need all the intricacies of every other class added to them. And thrown weapons.....omg, don't get me started on thrown weapons. they only make sense for rogues and ones with an ungodly amount of luck and skill.
I don't know, I guess my whole point is that adding a metric ton of new items is going to detract from the combat system. lots of strange weapons requires lots of strange mocap and programming for something that would seem to just to be unnecessary. I would rather see a high amount of quality in combat with the, already, conventional weapon types. I would rather see quality in the magic styles and class functionality rather than programming lots of items that go unused or make the class cumbersome.
If you are going to ask for anything, ask for a more "robust" visual experience in combat; and to that end, an experience that changes depending on how you spend your hours leveling and customizing your character. What I mean is I would like to see classes that function differently depending on how they are leveled and skill allocation rather than spells with different colors.
rant over
