Let's talk about stuff that was cut from DA II

Now, since Flemeth was nothing more than a glorified cameo in the actual game, one would have to assume a lot of ideas/story threads/gameplay for that was cut. Can we assume that that part of the story was cut in order to be folded in to Inquisition?
If you know of any other parts that were cut, please post them here.

And then they may have been planning for that scene in the expansion: Exalted March. Then that was cancelled but Bioware said some of what was going into EM will go into Inquisition.
So Flemeth may indeed have a more important role this time in DA3. She's certainly been built up for it so it makes sense.

I think that cutscene was foreshadowing for the mage/templar war and implied that Flemeth orchestrated the event. She helps Hawke get to Kirkwall and Hawke ends up bringing out the relic that drives Meredith insane, but to have predicted all of that would require ridiculous amounts of foresight. Not the most convincing set up for a mastermind plot(which we know DA3 focuses on), but its something I could see them running with.
Well, Flemeth CAN tell the future to a degree. She predicted the Blight in Ferelden, Loghain's betrayal, etc.

Good point. After her conversation in DA2 about being uncertain whether there's chance or fate guiding things, I forgot she demonstrated real prescient ability previously.

Alright everyone, if you remember the Destiny trailer for DA 2, it showed glimpses of Flemeth apparently commanding an army of Morrigans in battle against another army (Templars?).
That sounds really really stupid.

An army of Morrigans?
Do you have a link?

The mages are dressed like Morrigan and appear all to be female. One of the theories is they are more Flemeth/Morrigan clones(Morrigan is sort've a Flemeth clone, Flemeth was to take over her body).

She is ambiguous, the way BioWare use her is mysterious, but that doesn't mean that Gaider hasn't planned anything ahead. It would be pretty silly to just "grow with the telling" with a character like Flemeth. That stuff works with world-building, not plots.
And the good thing is, they haven't written themselves to a corner like the ME team did with the Reapers, Flemeth can be killed/defeated, there is no doubt about that.
Besides, from the novels and comics, I have a good feeling that Gaider did plan ahead and structured this Westeros 2.0. They didn't spend 5 years picking their noses trying to find names for the four races xD

That was made specifically for that trailer, as many other assets in that trailer were. While things were certainly cut from DA2 (as from every game I've ever worked on), that's not one of them.

Those are just mages. My left butt cheek looks more like Morrigan. (Part of the reason I took a picture of it and hung it on my wall.)

Or she could just "feel" the taint as it spread, making it seem like she can see the future. Flemeth is powerful but I don't think she can see the future although she is intelligent enough to predict how things may turn out. 60 years from now there'll be very little food generated by commercial fisheries, therefore china and most of asia and africa will have no choice but to go to war over food...
I can't see the future, but given the evidence and reports I can predict what will most likely happen.

Was the ending. (the Exalted March expansion or whatever people seem to talk about.)
Even though I really just did not like or enjoy DA2... I want to know how Hawke's story ends. (I have the same issue with Naruto... after it got hit with the dumbstick and lost all sense of causation and reason... I haven't enjoyed a single page... that was when Pain went against his LEGITIMATE ideals and killed himself... even though he could have just waited and... bluh! too stupid to try and rationalize! I just read it now to see it through to the end. Much like why I bought Legacy and MotA... which paid off because Legacy was AMAZING!)
Anyone who thinks no items from any game wind up on the cutting room floor is either delusional, or dumb. Though I am sad that Flemeth's Daughters Battalion was never a thing... that would have been fun. A hivemind-like setup of Flemeth and her daughters... Hopefully one would have been Yavana...David Gaider wrote...

Oh I do so hope we can meet HER in DA3! Afterall, she's only dead in Bioware's Origins playthrough.

The prediction of Loghain's betrayals of Maric seems to be pretty prescient. Also that prediction about humanity outgrowing its available food source is as old as Malthus, if not older.
Course, I think it was said that the books and other out of game sources were not necessarily always canon.

The prediction of Loghain's betrayal took precisely as long as a single look into the dude's face

Haha. Yeah. Well I didn't say I was deceived to the MAX!
But I did like SWTOR and had alot of fun hours playing the game. MMORPG are not really my thing so after a couple of months I was done..
