More defence? Life Steal? Health/Mana Regeneration?  Poison? The choice is yours!

Lots of choices. Maybe one for every secondary stat so you can customize as you want (with limits on how many you can have of each so you can't make an invulnerable super-fast healing warrior)

I don't really care unless Sandal is there to say Enchantment?

This is actually something that's important to me. DA:O had a slightly  wider variety of Enchantments and stated weapon effects, but most of them didn't work at all (messy kills, lucky, chance to stun, radiates cold, etc.  simply did nothing if you found them on a weapon) In DA2, they reduced the number of weapon enchantments, added a couple of new ones, and AFAIK, everything worked.

Overall though, the variety for both games was dismal.  And uninspired.   They really *really* need to put some more love into weapon enchants/special properties in DA3. I want to  be excited about loot drops again. I miss that.

Examples of what I'd like to see:
1)Life/mana/stamina  steal
2) Stun, paralyze, confuse, stagger, freeze, disorient, knockback, sleep.
3) Lingering  health damage poison,  lingering mana  damage poison, Lingering stamina damage poison,  or a super enchant  that does  all 3 at once
4) 5%, 10%, 15% chance of inflicting  Crushing Prison, Dominate, Curse of Mortality, or Silence for  5, 10, or 15 seconds.
5)  If finishing moves are back in, then:  messy kills
6) Armor penetration
7) Defense penetration
8) Fire + an effect from #2, Or shock + #2, Or Frost + #2, Or Spirit + #2,  Or Nature + #2

I'd like an air enchantment that gives a sort of whirly tornado effect around the blade instead of flames or etc.

What would be really neat would be an enchantment (a particularly potent one) that made the weapon function like Tallis' dual wielding style in MotA-- at range it throws magic projectiles, then up close it functions like a normal weapon of its type.

Only when you're at full health.
