I haven't seen a really good cloth map since the old Ultima cloth maps.
That is EXACTLY what I was going to say. Ultima IV for teh C64 was my first BIG CRPG and that map was an object of fascination for me. The map for this game is a big disappointment compared to that fond memory. Still, I do like the blood stains on it.

This is unrelated, but your dude looks awesome in the Blood Dragon Armor. Anyway, I haven't gotten my copy yet, so hopefully the map looks okay. I have tons of game maps taped to my walls, so I hope this will be decent enough.xiper wrote...

For one, there are loose threads everywhere, which is not too terrible but notable. Secondly, the colour is very, very faded and bland, and the overall detail is low. Finally, and most important, is that it does not seem to be cut well. The right side has about a 3/4" inch border whereas the left side just ends as though I am missing part of the map. In fact, where it says "West to Orlais" (I think that is what it says), the "W" is cut off a bit! I would not be surprised if mine was from a bad batch that was improperly cut and they did not bother to toss them and instead just packaged them up.
All in all I was rather disappointed, but I am not too into memorabilia so it does not devastate me by any means.

Meanwhile the EA Executives look at each other with shifty eyes.
"Yes... fraying... discoloration... it's time worn on purpose!"

Wow, some people can whine about anything. Who cares about a cloth map lmao, you paid $50 for the game not some 5 cent extra item thrown in..
It is this mentality that allows companies to continually lower the bar for quality while the ignorant public accepts it and continues to bleet like overfed sheep.
Why not care about a product advertised as a selling point for a certain edition of the game? Why not be disappointed when it is of inferior quality?
I really wish people acted like educated consumers as opposed to corporate-friendly drones who toe the company line for some inexplicable reason. You owe EA and BioWare nothing, so if something is wrong, why not say so? We pay them, we have the power, yet so many people think it is the other way around and we must accept what is tossed at us without question.

Nah I am nothing like that and totally agree, I play MMORPG's alot and the bar has lowered considerably. But to complain about a piece of cloth, that has nothing to do with the game or the product itself that they were selling is just plain dumb. I can even understand why so many are mad over the toolset not releasing as it was promised with the game launch. This piece of cloth did come as promised, just not up to some people's "Standards" but it's opinion based also. Others in the this same thread said they liked it
