You mean the game where the ladies were naked but the guy used pants? No.

yes i think that what the poster means.
a little bit like a post where women would be called  ladies (and not lasses) when men are called guys (and not gentlemen) :innocent:
(i know that was cheap....:D)

I fundamentally agree that nudity and sex can really be used to re-inforce the model of a women as a subservient gender.
and yes sometimes bioware had a little bit of a momment, EDI camel toes, miranda arses and i am sure that missed some nipplage somewhere).
but globally BW has protrayed women as the equal of men in most if not all the series.

We don't need it.

It is actually possible to be sexy without the need to show everything off and being totally explicit. XXX is great for a quick *woohoo* but personally I prefer scenes with a more subtle and sensual approach. Let's try to be classy.

Until i see a male's "peepee" flickering around and a female's "coco" spread, TW2's scenes aren't even close to being "XXX"

Where's EntropicAngel? This thread is a goldmine for him.

But anyway, no. Doesn't really add anything IMO.

Of course there were never any Jacobs with painted-on suits or Thanes and Varrics that show off the manliness of le chest.

The line of thinking has honestly always boggled my mind. The most revered novels, movies and TV shows have sex scenes shown explicitly.

No they don't. Some do, but far from all or even the majority. Now that I've voiced that caveat.

Do people honestly think video games are so immature that they cannot include the same materials shown in novels and tv? This is the mindset that will leave video games in a state of narrative inferiority to it's counterparts.

What other mature themes do you people want insinuated and not shown explicitly? Should we leave brutal executions to a simple dialogue piece spoken by a random NPC? Leave drug addiction to the codex as opposed to being shown explicitly within the game's atmosphere?

I salute you, boys and girls, for holding video games back as a story-telling medium.

The game industry is still held back by technological limitations. CGI sex will look awkward unless you put a big chunk of your budget into it, and even then it is very hit and miss. In this sense, games as a medium is immature.

To be fair all porn is crappy.

That's a painfully stupid comment.

It's hardly Oscar worthy written material with exceptional acting is it?

Then it should fit right into Dragon Age.

not that i was looking but  you can see varic hairy chest.

That being said, what goes for one gender should go for the other, yes  I agree.

still globaly Bioware record is more than good so i would not lay it on that thick on them (well regarding that topic at least)

The OP already downloaded all the pornography on the internet and now he doesn't have anything to masturbate to. Please Bioware, make a game for him.

No

Let BioWare come up with their own or better yet just use the "screen fades to black"

I don't want sex scene .
I'm happy with the fade to black.

But I don't understand Bioware , in ME3 there's a love scene with an npc taking a shower with underwear on....

That doesn't make any sense .

I guess it's an easter egg about Tobias in Arrested Development....

There's a lot of double standard going on , bothering creating ****** and next making ridiculous effort to hide nipples...

Almost like the ultimate prude whose favorite past time is to write sex fiction.

No I'm fine with fade to black. If anything more ME1 type scenes. Otherwise just a waste of resources.

I think Bioware should stick with their own romance scenes and CD Projekt with theirs. It keeps it unique for both developers. Still, I don't have anything against nudity and I prefer it if Bioware would go back to the ME 1 style romance scenes.

There is no need. I've said it myself, I find a more tasteful sex scene more erotic. Though the Witcher does it great, I don't wish to discredit such a down-to-earth, ballsy and amazing game.

If someone in the story line does the spicy shimmy I'm all for it but if your looking for porn I don't think you'll be getting it from the folks at Bioware... Just saying.

Why do so many people think that "mature" absolutely has to mean nudity? Or better yet, why are so many people so obsessed with nudity in a GAME?!? This I will never understand.

Nothing wrong with nudity as long as it is relevant to the story and not just for the sake of nudity.
