Definitely, Loghain is a fantastic character.

As we all know Loghain really, really, really hates Orliesans. If Orlais is having problems he would be the first to advocate Fereldan taking advantage of the situation.

If you're REALLY into this topic, you might want to look at the old thread Ferelden's Actions post Asunder. It's full of all sorts of fun speculation and military talk.

If seeing Loghain (if alive from your import) means that we'll take a detour from The Inquisition and go play with some darkspawn for a bit, them I'm game!

My sig answers that. His cameo would be excellent, plus he can tell us how much the Orlaisians suck.

He's dead and rotting in my game-as he should be. ^_^

He would be dead either way. He's either killed by the player or dies from the taint.

Alistair in DA 2 mention that he still alive. Tha is good I'd like to listen his opinion about Orlais.

I'd rather meet an Orleasian who knew Loghain and get his opinion on him.

I haven't liked Loghain since The Stolen Throne, but I'm willing to let him live once if he gets an interesting appearance in DA3. Yeah, his epilogue card said he died a few years later, but those aren't really canon by DA2.

Absolutely. Every time I hear that voice actor, especially in the ME series, I think it is badass that Loghain somehow made it to the future, and is a Quarian admiral. He got skillz.

I say no. He was a war traitor and framed me for that. If you people enjoy getting betrayed thats your cup of tea. My warden enjoyed stabbing him.

Well, only 2 pages and we already have this.

Uh... I'm not implying anything but I was just waiting how long it would take before a post likes your came up about traitors and what he did.

This would be awesome. Even better is if he plays a large roll in any Grey Warden activities in the game, though that doesn't seem like something BioWare will do. They won't make content in the game that not every single person can do, because the whole point of a RPG is to play it once and sell it back to the store.

Left his headless corpse rotting in a corner of the throne-room. Don't want to see it again - it's probably pretty ripe by now.

That said, even if a player left him alive, DA2 took another 10 years of time, and I've seen posts implying that DA3 won't start immediately after DA2 ended (by ended I mean the time when Varric is relating the story, which is what got us to 10 years, and is a topic in itself).

So, given Loghains age, how long could he reasonably been expected to live before his Calling?

I wouldn't get my feathers ruffled about it, but I kinda felt like his story was done. He betrayed his king, downplayed a threat he couldn't beat and didn't understand, and either received a traitor's death or what amounts to exile with a new purpose and suddenly limited life expectancy.

By the end of DA2, I would expect all the Grey Warden characters we knew from DA:O to be getting twitchy, unless they've decided to make the blood mage continuing his research from Warden's Keep the cannon choice..

It would be interesting to see him lead Wardens or Orlesian troops to fight demons or abominations. In DA:O we only ever get to see Loghain the traitor and never really get to meet Loghain the hero of the River Dane. The character, in the situations where he lived, hasn't yet gotten a real opportunity to redeem himself for his actions in DA:O(unless he's used as Archdemon bait). Mordin's redemption in ME3 I think is an excellent example of how this kind of thing can be done right.
