Lone Suvivor after everyone else got Banshee hand'd to death Extraction Wave, Squad Goal failed. This was on Silver, I haven't seen a single Bronze with more than two the same species, and Full Extraction on Gold is already a gamble as is.

Good thing I begged a friend to do a Private two man run with me already.

Same.

Joined a lobby yesterday that had two Turians, as soon as I switched to Turian one of them switched to Krogan Sentinel.

Then a Batarian joined.

Then the host switched to Geth instead of Cerberus (I somehow didn't notice). Geth with a team of no-dodgers. It was super fun. By which I mean it was not at all.

I've had two full extractions on gold in pug. One all Geth, one all Asari. I've only played about 10 games during this weekends op.

I played for a bit on friday, right when the operation started, and it was a blast. Everybody was cooperative, and I played all turian, all quarian, all batarian and all salarian matches. Most fun I've had in months.

Come saturday, I tried to play again. First lobby, two Shadows and a Demolisher. Next lobby, one of each. Next lobby, two aliens and a Shadow. Next lobby, two Demolishers.

I wanted to smash the f*cking screen. I hate shadows and demolishers.

That's why I did it with regulars, have not attempted a pug. A krogan game and a batarian, both gold vs cerberus. Messy as hell, but full extraction both times.

I had hoped to find lobby after lobby of non-human same species characters vs Cerberus...but sadly the spirit of the operation seems to be weak for the PC community. 99% of the lobbies had human and/or mixed alien species.

*sigh*

Just host a match and ask your squad to switch to your race? Did it for me at least, three times.

Most fun was as a team of Drell on London, me being the only Vanguard.

Went through a gold game, geth, was... interesting. People seemed to get the operation confused since no one wanted to use consumables, too bad too since someone that was on the border of the extraction refused to medi-gel... oh well, good thing I had an asari match early this weekend. Haven't seen any other real attempts at it though, even when going through silver for some easy atlas kills.

Its more important to actually be fighting ceberus for atlus count than to be worried about getting squad goal. Use your recent players (or w/e your system uses) to search for anyone who is willing to play same race and do it on bronze. Seriously be social. This game has enough cave monster rambos as is, its a co-op game.

I had better luck. 3 PUG on Bronze. Salarian, Krogan, Krogan -- all without anyone talking. And all Full Extraction.

Krogan seems to be more popular, so you guys might want to try that.

I haven't actually run into a PUG that understood the operation. They all seem to think they'll get their commendation packs if there are 2 members using the same non-human race.

Haven't had any matches work out for me. I might need someone to help do this after sunday night football.

It's weird, I've found 5-6 rooms so far with people that understood, on PS3. I was surprised.

PC, Silver, PUG, three 3 Krogans, 1 Turian = Leader changes from the Turian to a Geth and hits ready. =_=

I have, so far, played one game. (I'll play some more and blow up some Atlases, I promise)
full PUG - Xbox. We quickly agreed on salarians.
Console master race confirmed? I guess I'm just luckier.

I guess it's understandable for some to be confused by the '2+ players must be of the same race', or however it's pronounced in the announcement. They should have tried to make it a touch clearer for others.

I made sure to politely ask people who joined my lobby to change to whatever was the dominant race. We even helped an n7 80 something do the op when he joined with a turian (he didn't have krogans or batarians). Most of the players switched, or left the lobby. Greatest game I had must have been cerberus/reactor with an all asari squad: 2 vanguards, 1 justicar and 1 adept. That PUG destroyed everything in 22 minutes. Not bad, and the other vanguard didn't glitch.

I played a dozen matches Friday, all random. Every one of them ran as one race. I coached a couple of them to do so, but nobody balked.

Saturday, I played at least as many matches and was in ONE which fit the criteria.

It is a strange phenomenon to me.

Is it that during the first few hours of the Op people were more cautious, only deciding later that 2 of a race was the correct interpretation of the splash? (That actually is the correct interpretation of the splash screen. The only reason anyone would think any different is if he read the announcement here.) Is it that by Saturday most regular players had met the squad goal and were only concerned with the community goal? (I still have only been in Cerberus matches all weekend.)

If it is the latter, that is so selfish. If it is the former, that is...a weird social phenomenon.

In favor of the first point and against the second, I would say 90% of matches were of the 2-of-a-race variety. I can think of two matches, off hand, that had any humans in it. So, it seems more likely that the masses decided they liked the more literal translation.

It is almost as if many people have decided that having MORE than two squad members of the same non-human race was against the rules!

I guess that works for consoles, but on PC almost no-one owns a mic and there is no text chat: you literally have to add people to your friends list to communicate otherwise.

Really now, less than 10% of every match I've ever played have had people with mics in them.... people just don't have them on PC because every game ever has text chat: except ME3. FAIL.

Similar here, have managed just one all Turian game despite frequently switching to match the host etc.

I find the whiny Bioware bashing on these forums really tedious, but in this case I think it genuinely is down to the badly misleading splash screen.

I'm wondering too if many people haven't read the memo. I enter many lobbies with humans only. Weird since we're supposed to play as non-humans.

I did it friday after 10-12 lobby jumps.

Since then I just been playing. I been willing to change to help but every game always has a N7 char that just doesnt want to swop off and ruined the other peoples chances.

Here, here.

Bioware is my favorite developer, by far. They do so much right it makes silly mistakes like this all the more disappointing.

I almost ran a 2 quarian private game.. Until 2 others (not on my friend list) joined.. ugh.. stupid match making system.

Did end up finding pugs with all krogan, geth, batarians, asari though..

PC players seem to ignore the event. Every random lobby I join has at least one N7 character in it and people ignoring one another... :P
