I decided to do a PUG last night and joined a lobby with two Asari. I happened to be an asari and saw that the enemy was Cerberus so thought these guys were trying to do the squad goal and was happy to help out but then we were joined by a Destroyer....oh well I hope those guys eventually were able to succeed in doing the squad goal.

I haven't actually run into a PUG that understood the operation. They all seem to think they'll get their commendation packs if there are 2 members using the same non-human race.

This has been my experience as well.  That splash screen has most people thinking you only need 2.

All pubs I've played with over this weekend, provided they aren't Plats, have been successful OP runs. I guess I'm just fortunate enough to always find good pugs.

It took me a good few hours, but I eventually managed a full extraction with an all Turian foursome in a PUG. I had to send a few messages via PSN, but got there in the end.

I managed to get an all Krogan PUG. We wiped after completing Wave 10 objective. Then I did an all Krogan match with a guy from my friend's list and 2 other people he knows. We wiped on a Wave 10 hack in the middle of Rio. Then we did an all Geth run on Glacier, and one guy got instakilled by a Phantom on the extraction wave. Then we finally got it done with all Geth on London.

Took care of the first run about an hour into the event.

Asari Death Squad. Explosions everywhere.
Did a Drell Duo later to help a friend get theirs.
Played a Turian group when asked.

When I join a lobby I see what people have. If there are two of a single race without mikes. I'll switch to match. Or, most importantly if people ask me to switch I will.

Been a fun weekend. Hadn't touched the Turian soldier since the demo, so it was interesting to play again.

The only game I was able to finish without disconnecting was an all Salarian group on Vancouver. That went smooth as glass, and on PS3 to boot.

To this second, I've had a Batarian Match, a Quarian Match, a Drell match,a Salarian match, a Geth match and a Krogan match.

I've been damned lucky.

I managed to get Krogan, Geth, Turian, Vorcha and Quarian games done as PUGs but I rarely see Asari, Batarian and Salarian games which makes me sad. I want a full set.

Edit: Crap knew I forgot someone. Almost got a Drell set done but an Asari popped in on wave 11 and extracted with us. The one and only Drell game I have found.

First couple of Gold pugs had pretty much all Human classes. I finally got into a FBWGG match, convinced everyone to go Turian... wave 5 a Geth Hunter glitches, we can't kill it. Just gave up on it afterwards and did 2 bronze duos with guys from my friends list, which was another pain, because both were Asari, and I chose Asari Adept to go along. Warp never hit anything until wave 7 or 8 (wut?) and neither did Throw, so I was pretty much just using Stasis and pistoling things unto death.

Are Warp and Throw missing lag related? Because I had some but it was bearable.

I played in a group of three Turian sentinels on bronze. Was the easiest match ever, pulled 10 waves survived and full extraction no problem. :D

I went looking for a match and the game chose me to be the host. When the lobby loaded, a lone N7 9 was in there with me, luckily we were the same race; Quarian. So, another person joins in, N7 900 something, who knew what the deal was and switched to Quarian. I set the match to private, Unknown/Cerberus. We got FBW and got her done. Hope the new guy doesn't get an Eagle.

Lucky for me, I play with a relative every day, so we just did a Regar Kroguard duo Silver first thing, and then Saturday we figured what's the best way to kill Atlas' ? Do Platinum / Cerberus right? So, not worrying about extracting, we just destroyed about 60-80 of those mechanical beasts.

PC players seem to ignore the event. Every random lobby I join has at least one N7 character in it and people ignoring one another... :P

You're the second person who has said this on this thread and tbh I think both you guys just had bad luck, I joined a few games where everyone did switch to a single race without even any communication. However that was very early in the challenge. As time progressed single race runs didn't happen as often

The only one I've found was a full Turian team, one of them DC'ed at wave 9 and a Krogan replacement came in :(

I've had 3 member teams of asari & salarians on Bronze and full teams of krogans & drell on Silver so far.

All against Cerberus naturally.

same here, actually had to do a private match in order to keep all others out.

Today, the BW/EA servers are for crap, I've lost connection all morning long. All the connections at my end are good.

My biggest complaint with BW/EA servers is that I lose TONS of consumables due to their bad connections.

I dunno, I had great luck Friday night. Ran Asari Commando death squad (4), Krogan Mosh pit (3), Death by Geth (4), and Batarian Whalers United (4).

No love for the Drell, Turians, or Quarians though. Salarians also a no go. Have yet to see any.

These were all PUG, on Xbox (with mic.) People switched, we fought Cerberus, and life was good.

I guess most people got that out of the way on Friday. I did a successful all Turian run on Friday and a failed all Geth on Satruday. Since I already have mine completed, I now use my newly unlocked N7 characters (both the Destroyer and Demolisher finally popped out of the store ). When I enter a lobby, where nobody seems to care about the squad goaland everyone just readies up, with mixed races, I have to assume that they already got their goal achieved as well. Now, I sometimes even ask over the mic if anyone still needs the squadgoal, but most of the time, nobody even cares to answer. So then I assume, they already have their goal.

I will try to get one, maybe two single race runs today, just to make sure.

turn on your mic and tell people you want to play an all krogan/drell/asari/etc game an that you won't click "ready" until it is. If anyone complains, give them the address of the "bioware messed up the splash screen" website.

When my husband and I started playing Friday, there were a lot of people switching over to our race when they came in our lobby (maybe because we were both already the same race in the room?).  Seems like later last night, people weren't as interested in changing their character, but we did get a few randoms who stayed in the room for multiple matches and switched to match us just for fun.  Full extractions with Geth, Krogan, Asari, Quarians, Salarians, and Batarians (all agains Cerberus)... no Vorcha or Drell yet...  any PC players out there who still need to complete the challange, feel free to add me on Origin, username Hretha.  We'll be playing bronze and silver matches off and on all day, and we'd be happy to help you out!

N7 people seem to be around destroying Atlases, it doesn't take much to use your mic on PC and ask, most people are cool about switching up.

Yup, politely asking on the mic to change races/species seems to do the trick. Even if they don't speak, most people are willing to listen. ;)

On Xbox, it took me over an Hour just to find a PUG lobby where the players were willing to do the operation. The first one didn't end in a full extraction because one of the players was too busy trying to get kills way out of the retrieval zone.
Even in Bronze i was having a hard time looking for a PUG willing to do the Operation.
I keep jumping from lobby to lobby looking for one.

I started a little after 4pm on Friday.  I play on PC.  I only do PUGS.  Im internet connection is not capable of hosting.

I had a pretty frustraing night.

I joined lobbies where people couldn't/wouldn't settle on a race.

I joined games in progress where I was the odd man out.

I nearly gave up when I finally got an all Asari group only to have someone drop and a Vorcha replace them...and then stayed till extraction.

Just before 8pm, I joined a Salarian lobby and ran three missions with them and achieved full extraction on two (just to be sure).  The three missions were a blast, but all in all the excercise sucked.
