After years of leaving for other games, ruminating about it, coming back to start fresh, leaving again, I finally beat BG1. I'm planning on taking my main through BG2 next (after I try Planescape and maybe finish up Dragon Age). Anyway, couldn't find a general post to add this too, but had to express my joy somewhere!

Haha, congrats! If you have that much trouble getting through games, prepare for some lengthy gameplay in BG2. That one is absolutely huge!

Heh. I know! Have yet to play that one through but got a good chunk of the way into it before it too was lost to my gamer ADD. These days, though, when I start a game I know is a classic (or better yet just love), I have the stuff to make it through. DAO and Planescape are next though.

Congratulations. I can remember my first time too, 13 years ago or so, and I'm still replaying it now!

Congratulations. I also remember my own elation in finishing the game for the first time, though that isn't hard,being only some 4 years ago. I still feel sorry though, I didn't keep a backup of the campaign like I did with later ones (but by then I had bigger backup drives).

1) I consider BGs among the very best games I've ever played (and I first played them cca 8 years ago)
2) I've never finished either one.

Not at all. I've lost count of the number of times I've completed BG1, but have never got remotely close to finishing BG2 (never even got on to ToB). It's always nice to have something to look forward to ...
