Favorites from top to bottom:
Human Noble (male or female, this is the only origin I was able to play either gender). Wins points for the Cousland family, and I love Bryce's scene in the Guantlet. Can be king/queen of Ferelden at the end.
City elf *female* for the sheer badassery of the character. I get a real sense of community playing through, though the squalor of the Alienage loses points for the origin, the family (mostly Shianni and Soris, the PC's Dad is kinda boring) makes up for it. Wins points for getting up in Duncan's grill prior to the wedding scene and after, when Duncan takes you away, thumbing your nose at the city guards who want to take you away for lopping off Vaughan's head.
Mage *female* (I prefer elf over human but either is fine). I like the mage class best in game and my most 'canon' warden is the Surana in my Avatar. I also like the personalization i feel in the Circle during the treaty quest.
Dalish *female* wins points for the scene with Tamlen later in the game, and if you trigger the additional 'romance' in the origin, he has some heartbreaking dialogue later when encountered. Loses points when the rest of the group you're with just say the usual dialogues after the battle, but gains some when Alistair tries to comfort the Dalish Warden after. This was my most reluctant warden, despite she needed the Joining to save her life mostly because the idea of going among the shemlen terrified her.
Dwarf Noble *female*, points for being able to take sticking it to Bhelen personal. Loses points for the extremely dysfunctional behavior of Endrin (what, he just sends off his 'favored' child to the deep roads without even a trial?) Bah, he can go to hell. My Aeducan wanted to be a GW and told Duncan this at her party. The events just cemented that desire. Gorim is my favorite "origin story romance".
Dwarf Commoner bored me to tears. I was able to get one to Ostagar for the achievement of completing the origin then deleted her.
