hi, in all my playthrough in act 3, i've never seen a mage that was a circle or blood mage that was weak to spirit damage, instead, they was immunite to spirit damage.

is there anyone who' has noticed that ?

note : i am playing on pc.

edit : here a screenshot to prove it. note that the 5 electrical damage are from merill elemental weapon, she weared eye of the storm :

here my gear that i has :

-edge of the night
-courage
-warden bethany robe of unblemished cleanless (yeah, it's a modded item, it is basically a robe of unblemished cleaness, but with 2 rune slot and more armor value, it's from the sunnie's item pack, found on dragon age nexus)
-stealth boot (i used a mod that unrestrict item from class, level, and attribute requirement)
-consealer sash
-hand of the fate (same as stealth boot)
-orsino signet ring (that one from the vaddin mod from console command)
-apostate mask (same as stealth boot and hand of fate)
-smite
-etched ring of the twins.

i also used the build of arelex for warrior and as you will i play sns.

so, here's the screenshot

Well if they look immune to spirit damage, they're probably immune to spirit damage.
I vaguely remember encountering the occasional odd spirit immunity, even before act 3. I think Danzig from act 1 was immune, even though he was probably of the tevinter slaver type.

Unless you want to go digging through the .gda tables, you might as well just switch to a different element for those enemies. No point stressing over it. haha

yes, i see what you mean, but the big question is : if they are immune to spirit damage what is their elemental weakness ??!

Well, you could always experiment..?
The easiest way would be to turn off party tactics/set to passive (so they don't interfere), then test out various generic elemental staves (with similar base damage) against them.
When the damage doubles you've got yourself a weakness.
It might also help to attack the same enemy to keep armour/damage resistance constant (reloading saves), but that would probably be an unnecessary hassle.

You might as well do it yourself - the DA2 gameplay etc community is pretty much gone, and from the sounds of things, you're pretty much the only one who is playing it still haha.

Anyway, that's the process that we had to go through to test various abilities/builds back in the day (only IN1 had the .gda skills).

they seem to be weak against electricty, tough not a big weakness, i bet they have resistance to it, still, they are definitly more sensible to it and they are definitly immune to spirit damage. that is all i can say for the moment.

From what I've experienced, circle mages, apostates, thralls are immune to spirit and have normal resistance for everything else. They are not weak against any element. Only those which are specifically labelled as blood mages in-combat are weak against spirit.
