Of the top of my mind, the only character that had parents of different races was Athenril's son (that I forgot the name). There is also the OGB, that could be of any combination with human because Morrigan is human.

Am I the only one that wants to see more of this type of characters?

Do you mean Arianni? Athenril was the smuggler... XD

In any case, I wouldn't mind seeing more, but it's not a necessity for me either.

Half-elves look human so there's no way to tell. Wonder if half-dwarves also look human.

Half elves are effectively human.  There's nothing to really distinguish them from a child of two human parents, despite being "elf-blooded"

I wonder if there are half-dearves though...

Yeah, Athenril was the smuggler. I forgot completelly the name of the characters, but she was a dalish that escaped from her tribe and had a son with a human that had the gift of magic.

And, he had the body of a human and human ears, but his face had some elvish traces.

I'm relatively sure that all the races "overwrite" the other in some way. Humans + elf = human. Basically. For instance. The others probably can't interbreed, or the same mechanic is in place dwarf + human = human. I'm pretty sure Kossith and anything else wouldn't be able to make babies anyway. xp

The Dragon Age wikia says dwarves and humans make half-dwarves. I wonder if dwarves and elves can have babies with each other.

If I remember correctly, dwarf+human=half dwarf.
Taller than a dwarf, shorter than a human.

Huh. You learn something new every day. I wonder if they would be able to do magic?

but Slim Couldry in DAO was also elf-blooded and looked entirely human.  I think Feynriel simply had delicate (human) features.

For all we know Bio will re artify things for da3 so they might have slightly pointed ears then most humans but not as pointy as elfs

No, he looked a lot like an elf. Too much to be a coinsciedence. It must go from person to person. There's that theory that Alistair and his sister are half-elves and they don't look the part at all.

o.O but she was not Alistairs real sister, her mother was just a cover up so no one know that the king cheated

There are implications that Alistair is a half-elf. Not sure if this has been confirmed anywhere.

You know it'd be really cool if the protagonist was of mixed race in DA3 so he/she could be caught up in a conflict among two races and such.

That might be interesting for them to develop as a sub-plot to the Mages/Templar conflict.

Like a half elf mage with a templar human father? that would be rather awsome

There are no actual half-elves. The offspring of a human and elf couple is always human. Alistair could be a half-elf.

Dragon Age: The Calling pretty much covers that. Alistair's mother is an elf but Maric wanted his illegitimate son to grow up thinking he had a human mother and she died.

It also covered that half elven/human children ALWAYS look 100% human. Which makes Feynriel's appearance in DA2 a retcon:mellow:

Since when does being half-elf affect one's girth or height? I thought lore established that half-elves, for all intents and purposes were humans. Part of the reason that elves frowned on human-elf relations is that it further reduces the amount of breeding elves.
