sup guys, im currently restarting a dragon age origins game in preperation for my newly acquired copy of da2, i know that whatever decisions you make affect the da2 world so im wondering what yields the best results?
im thinking; mages in broken circle, spare isolde in redcliffe, behlen in orzammar (from what i have heard) and no chantry.
what i need to know is do i publicise the ashes of andraste and should i side with the werewolves?
i will be making a hardened alister king and am yet to play through awakenings and witch hunt.
any ideas will be helpful, im trying for a goody goody playthrough as i use wynne and alister quite heavily but like to occasionally bone morrigan thanks to free gifts and conversation:P

I'm not sure how to say this, but I don't really recall many of my choices in DA:O making more than a cosmetic difference in DA2. I could be mistaken, because I only played it the one time, long ago. I hadn't sided with the werewolves, so I'm not sure how that will affect DA2. Given that the Dalish play a big role in DA2, I would think the werewolves choice should have some noticeable effect, but I don't know what it would be.

What Shinobu said. If you side with the werewolves there's a brief side quest at Sundermount, but that's all. Everything else doesn't do much more than determine who shows up at The Hanged Man or whether or not you run into someone important in the rest of Kirkwall.

None of your decisions have a significant difference on the gameworld you're playing in.

... In fact some decisions will be outright retconned.

Did you kill off Lelianna? Tough, she'll show up anyway. Anders? Nope, he's there too. Are you paying attention to the DA timeline (especially re Anders)? Please don't - it'll only get Bioware in trouble.

The only piece of advice I would give is regarding Nathaniel in Awakenings. If you want him to survive the events of Awakenings then you must take him with you in your party during your final mission. Due to plot-flag errors, Awakenings registers those you do not bring with you as dead - even if the epilogue slides tell you otherwise. This is only important for Nathaniel, however, as only he has a possible cameo if he is flagged as surviving DA:A.

Shame that the decisions of origins do not impact so much on DA2. I've spent so many hours shaping a land as i see fit it would be nice to bask in my decision making splendour in a new game. Some decisions are not easy to make and as a good character i tried to base my decisions on the greater good i.e Bhelen and a neutral outcome at brecillian forest.
I think it may be best not to import a save, start afresh so to speak
