After reading some of the current discussions in the board, I got another idea that is best written here: Dont voice any lines in the game, actually dont even write them. Just give player a empty speech bubble player can type him/herself when the plot has a conversation between people.

That way surely things will go exactly how everyone imagines?

Even better, add a toolset where players can record (with friends) their own lines.

I want my pre-order to be delivered to my house by a butler. I want the game to be on a silver platter with a bottle of Cristal, some foie gras, the most expensive caviar money can buy, and a slice of the most delicious cake ever baked! Even better, add a toolset where players can record (with friends) their own lines.

It can be done. Open your toolset, create a new conversation file, add a conversation trigger,  record your sound file, insert those sound files to your dialogue line, save and add that conversation to your actor's property, save your mod and test it. It should be simple enough if the sole purpose is to hear your own voice and lines. It's a bit trickery to script AI smart  enough to recognize your tones. Not sure if it's worth my effort tho. I'm more interested to making my own story or modifying the official story.    


With toolset anything can be done except modifying graphic engine. Too bad DAO graphic engine is way outdated for photorealistic environment and character.

All decisions I make in the game will be acknowledged as canon and will be applied to everyone elses game. Due to the possibility for spoilers in thread topics on the BSN, if I haven't reached a certain point in the game, those areas will be locked out to everyone else (regardless of gaming platform) until I play it first. Those who complain will be banned from the internet and playing any and all rpgs in general for the rest of their natural born life. Those who use blood magic to extend said natural born life (I'm looking at you Avernus) just might receive a pardon from me if they use said magic on me since I must live forevah.

 Hmmm, ridiculous demands... I'm sure I can come up with some:

1. Fancy Orlais stuff like balls, masquerades, bards singing tales in inns, restaurants where your party can eat a fancy cheese plate, fancy clothes, shoes, and crazy live bird hairstyles.  My PC wants to dance fancy Orlesian dances and eat fancy Orlesian cheeses!

2. A scythe as a weapon.  Do it!

3. Use of skills in dialogue and cinematics - like Threaten, Frightening Appearance, Blood Magic, etc. to intimidate, scare, persuade, control, etc.

4. Cameos of my Warden and her LI as well as my Hawke and her LI.

5. Mini-games: cards, duels, cooking, weapon/armor/accessory crafting, and such.

6. A butler-type character who is actually a secret badass like Alfred from Batman or Sebastian from Black Butler.  Seriously, awesome butlers are awesome.

7. Dog or other smart pet, maybe a ferret or whatever they have in Orlais.  And more interaction.  Like a pet quest or two - killing rats in the larder, finding their lost ball, solving a mystery using their superior sense of smell.  Dog treats should be a quest reward.

8. Have festive events like feast days, carnival, holidays, a circus, gypsy train, stuff like that.  Give my PC a chance to wear a disguise, get a tarot or palm reading, and drink wine!

1. Have the option for PC to merge with a spirit of the fade his/herself just without the going insane part.

2. More than one color in the game. Enough with the the all brown and/or all grey.
