Origin stories like DA:O probably won't happen, though I'd like to see something along the lines of ME's backrounds.

At first, it's just critique on DA2. Then after the critique section is done, it's my idea for origin stories.

I would not only love origins but think more origins would be a great way to get money as in DLC. Lets face it the origins never have a huge impact on the story as it progresses with only 1 or 2 dialogue changes later in the game. Since so many people myself included love playing a different origin along with the origin quest 30 minutes to an hour depending why can't we do this? Different origins was my favorite part of DAO, except that the romances were my favorite part, except that playing a female was my favorite part, except that NPC banter and NPC interaction was my favorite part, except feeling like an epic bad ass was my favorite part.

I'll leave the origins themselves to Bioware(they haven't failed to write a great story yet), I'd just like to be able to choose between human, elf, dwarf, and hopefully kossith.

Extrapolating from what we know about voicing and cinematic design being kept in DA3 - I would be very surprised if race was a choice...

..but dammit I loved my City Elf Dude from DAO and would love to see another City Elf rise up to power....

I want a slacker origin. Someone who literally had no goal or path in life suddenly becoming the most important person in the world sounds like fun!
Or maybe someone with a crappy job(tavern waitress constantly dealing with creepy drunk men, or a rat-exterminator working in sewers...). I want to start as an underdog and then go crazy with power! Mwahahahahahahahaha!
Or, you know... something like DA:O's writing...

I like the prostitute idea because i like to pick my characters that are on the lowest rug of society i enjoyed doing it with my elf and dwarf commoner playthroughs.

I would love to see them go for more specific origins - really in the first game it was all about place in society and race it would be nice to have a few that refer more to the way of life like maybe a member of the crows, pirate, Chasind, Chantry Brother/sister and like you said Princess/Prince and Bard - you could even make them all the same race...i would be fine with that compromise.

But yeah I really wouldnt get too excited just yet as the inclusion of Origins is highly unlikely, even if the devs arent ready to reveal anything about the game it would be wise if one could clear the air and confirm that there will be no Origins to quell the expectations of those who believe that DA3 should have origins and the massive ****storm that is bound to happen when it is revealed that there are none, best to get it over with while peoples expectations are low and before they start to speculate on possible origins like daffl5 has.

That being said if there were no origins one would think they would have told us that there wont be origins for reasons I just said, so by that logic I guess it means there MUST be Origins in DA3, woohoo get your hopes up people.
