Bothersome brute? np.....dominate him and watch him gore your enemies. No enemy to gore?...np...dominate him and watch him stand there like a statue.
Playing as an adept - imho this was a very useful almost overpowered skill.

Dominated Ravagers and Brutes is pretty funny to watch though.

seriously? I couldn't "charm" anything that had armor and above. only plain "red bar' enemies and found it awfully boring too. just some stupid batarian thingies shooting at each other
I was under the impression that Banshees and Harvesters were the only enemies in-game that couldn't be dominated, and that people used dominate specifically to take Brutes out of the fight...

Other then a banshee and a few others, playing with this as a bonus power felt incredibly op. I mean you could literally charm the battlefield and watch them destroy each other.

[Runs to the online store and orders Leviathan]
Can't wait to eat this lovely cake.

I am currently running it on an Engineer (playlist here). I do not find it hilarious, just boring. Although sometimes something funny does happen, like when a husk jumped on another husk.ZombieGambit wrote...
Infiltrator or Engineer with Dominate is just hilarious. You only have to fight Banshees since you can sit back and watch everything else just kill each other.
I found that I have to use the Claymore just have some fun using it. I have even started using James as a squadmate to try to make things interesting.

Why are you using a build that you find boring? Seems dumb...RedCaesar97 wrote...

Dominate is quite entertaining, like AI hacking in ME where there were enough targets to use it on properly (I never did the Dominate thing in ME2 in the end.). Watching Husks and Cannibals having punch-ups is quite funny. Not quite as good with Cerbs...prefer the Turret sabotage hack for those suckers.

ZombieGambit: That character happens to be an import of an ME2 character that also used Dominate. I am finding it more fun now that I am using the Claymore. I was using the Katana, Reegar Carbine, and Eviscerator before, but they are rather boring weapons although you do have to be close to use the Reegar Carbine so it is more fun to use than some other shotguns.

I couldn't charm anything until I took down their armor.......and Brutes die when armor is gone. I could only charm cannibals and husks AFTER taking out their armor, but it was boring watching them shoot and tussle with each other.

I don't really know what you mean here. Cannibals and Husks can only get buffed with armor plates, and that doesn't seem to have any bearing on Dominate. Brutes and Ravagers have the yellow bar health Armor, but both can be Dominated.TheGarden2010 wrote...

well I certainly couldn't charm anything that had Armor and above, only plain Red health *shrugs*, don't know why
Perhaps you killed the target before dominate had it attacking its former allies? That effect is not instantaneous which coincidentally is exactly why I don't believe its all that great, let alone overpowered...
