Um, then DA2 was not a DA game? There are no Amells in that party. And in DAO, there only is if you play a human mage.Andrastee wrote...
Finn!
And Charade Amell. Because it's not a DA game unless you can have an Amell in the party.

If the Warden saved Bevin, Kaitlyn's brother in Redcliffe and used his sword and gave it back, he will become a famous adventurer and will tell stories about how as a young lad, he met The Warden, who used his father's blade to save Redcliffe and then passed it back.

If they keep him Tranquill (as he became one in both of my PTs) - yes, please. Could be an interesting story arc. But I just see an outrage about "why he is not romanceable?!!111"Feynriel.
I have a feeling that he's super hot all grown up.

Opposing this it would be nice to see the Mad Hermit from the Brecilian forest again, I know you can kill him but they could easily say he tricked you and escaped. I think he would be an interesting character to explore and interact with.
Elf: Velanna I think she's a brilliant character and would like to see a resolution to the storyline with her sister,
Dwarf: Hanashan one of the silent sisters in DAO with her trainer Farinden. It would be nice to see that mechanic where she cannot speak and her trainer is her mouthpiece especially when your trying to communicate something personal to her, similar to how Bodahn speaks up for Sandal.
Qunari: Maraas, I mean who doesn't want a renegade Qunari.

In Dragon Age Asunder, a cure is found for Tranquility. If he becomes a companion, for all of those who made him tranquil, he's likely to just be cured, I'm afraid.

Yavana pulling a Flemeth and being alive after being 'slayed' and becoming a companion would be interesting. I'd assume she has interest in the events unfolding, since (a) she is a mage (

Not really a 'returning character' but (The Silent Grove spoilers incoming)

I'd assume she has interest in the events unfolding, since (a) she is a mage (her sister and mother are catalysts to some hidden plot. She has met past companions/NPC and has some unique knowledge/experience as well about dragons, Flemeth and magic.
She also speaks of other "sisters", so it wouldn't have to be Yavana. It's an idea worth implementing.

You're not kidding, right?...In Dragon Age Asunder, a cure is found for Tranquility. If he becomes a companion, for all of those who made him tranquil, he's likely to just be cured, I'm afraid.
Then...
WOW! That's a Real Retcon Power. Good they did not invent some Resurrecting Machine to codex anyone back to life...
But..What a pity.... no Tranquil companions then, I guess... 8P
@Anders: Sorry, love, looks like your writer and creator played an evil trick with you. There was no need at all in killing Karl and blowing up Grand Cleric...We could just take him somewhere safe and wait for few years, and then - fix him back to normal mage ( all of them, including that dreamy girl Meridith used as a secretary)..

I remember a thread the other day talking of Ser Cauthrien returning, I wish they'd make her a companion. Cauthrien and Cullen and maybe Hawke's sibling if possible. But thats it, the rest should be new companions because I want the world to expand not be held back or stuck where it is

It's not that simple. Curing Tranquility requires the subject make contact with a fade denizen. A spirit may be found, but a demon is far more likely, meaning the end result will be an abomination, nine times out of ten at least.Nrieh wrote...

By this same line of logic, we won't see Feynriel as a companion, either. The same goes for your sibling (Bethany and Carver) or Shale.
So... I guess my wishlist is pretty much non-existent. I'd like to have a Kossith companion (with horns this time) and a Tevinter mage.

Oh, she'll learn kung-fu, do not worry.... 8PGuys, not every cool character is a good fighter to be a companion. Orana, seriously?
And also - ME3 had some non-combatant characters (and LIs)...

Sebastian Vael I'd also like to see return. His story isn't finished and his character has a lot of potential.
Cullen too, although I'm not particularly fond of his character, he has potential as well.
They're all living and breathing, so within the realm of possibilities at least.

Well that'd be tricky because it depends on your gameplay in DA2. He could be tranquil or he could be normal. It depends on what you did with him.
I never end up making him tranquil - I let him run away. Then a few years later I find a woman out in the wilderness who is waiting for him or searching for him (can't remember, it has been awhile) and she's his lover. It never goes back to him or her, but Hawke is left knowing that Feynriel is running around out there as an apostate, picking up chicks. lol

I'm quite sure Feynriel has an abomination ending to his arc in Dragon Age 2 as well, I think it ends with rumours of a particularly powerful abomination decimating certain parts of the Free Marches. Though I personally never pursued that ending.Feynriel could be tranquil or he could be normal.
In fact I constantly supported Feynriel through even my most devout Templar Support runs. He started off as a bit of an idiot, but he quickly matured and grew into an understanding of his importance as well as gaining a sense of responsibility. I really liked his character.
It's never established that they're lovers. We know that Feynriel saw she was in trouble within the Fade, and he assisted her. For all we know she became obsessed with what is effectively the "man of her dreams".Then a few years later I find a woman out in the wilderness who is waiting for him or searching for him and she's his lover.
I always find that woman to be particularly creepy in that regard... Kind of like the Farm-Girl in Mask of the Betrayer that became so obsessed with Gann of Dreams that she created a dream clone in his image.*Shudders*
All we really know about that particular encounter (for Tevinter Feynriel) is that his ability as a Mage is insanely awesome, his powers are incredibly strong and he's attempting to use them to protect people, which is quite sweet.
I'd like to see him again, especially if he was sent to Tevinter, but I'm not particularly hopeful in that regard. Too many variables for his character, though it would be nice to meet a Magister that isn't a power hungry, criminally insane psychopath.
