And not just ones you only get in a punch up (I'm looking at you Xebenkeck and Hybris) the ones you can make deals with, which you can enslave children or let them possess people.

With DAO you can do this with the Desire Demon possessing Connor, letting it lurk in his body in exchange for bloodmagic, some points or even a quick tumble. There is also the Desire Demon in the mage tower with the enchanted Templar; I always found that encounter facinating, more so when I found out you could leave them alone. The massive Pride Demon in the deeproads (Asunder) was also another encounter, where you could let him leave or attack him. Kitty is another Desire Demon whom you can deal with during Shale's DLC. Also Awakening you can encounter a hunger demon but if you can successfully imtimdate her she will leave without incident. There is also Sophia the possessed old leader of the Grey Wardens and the Baroness of Blackmarsh, whom you can convice to give you a better reward and together you can kill the First.

With DA2 you can make a deal with Torpor (which my bloodmage did mwhaha) during Night Terrors or get into a punch up with him. You can't make a deal with the Desire/Pride demons fighting over whatshisface. You can also make a deal with the Fell Grimoire; promise to leave you it alone and it will give you points in echange but then Xebenkeck shows up and you have to kill her.

There are other demons, but they are mostly "ATTACK" deals, or they'll talk like Allure in the Exiled Prince

Since the whole of DA3 is gonna be mostly about the huge brawls between the mages and templars (with most likely other places like the Qunari and Tevinters having a go) there are gonna be a crapton of Demons. Either by summoning or possessing mages or by breaking through the fade.

I've already seen some people interested in having a demonic companion (and hey, I can chill with that) so would having more demons you can make deals with appeal to you? If so, in what manner? Letting more kids be possesed? Let one possess a mage compainion and huzzar demonic follower? Having a nice chat with a Rage Demon? Pride demon for LI? ( Image IPB ) Being able to summon demons to fight for you as a mage in DA3, kinda like the mabari dog in DA2 or Ranger in DAO? Or maybe even more fade adventures like in DAO? Any ideas or wants for demon interactions in DA3?

It would be cool to see some new/different types of demons.

Sure...but only if the deal had lasting effects. Like dealing with the Demon over Connor. I'm a sucker for blood magic so...Haha, sorry Isolde. But other than that one...you don't get much. Money, a skill point...two skill points? I'd like something more substantial. Avoiding a boss fight is nice enough though. The ablility to summon lesser demons would be awesome.

I personally would not like...to interact with a demon for a long period of time. Unless they are capable of feeling human emotions. Like...giving a damn? I don't think i'd like something that'd stab me in the face because it felt like it to follow me around. What can I say? I care.

Pride, Desire, Sloth, and Shades are nice but I wish there were more varieties. Or...if not that atleast make each particular demon look different. Personally I would like to see a male Desire demon with boob tassles.

Well, so far we've seen

Rage
Hunger
Sloth
Desire
Pride

As far as demons go.  So far we haven't seen Envy demons or Greed demons, though Desire demons may overlap in those areas.

Though it would be interesting to se specialized subtypes of demons.  Demons of these broad varieties, but with special abilities and appearances to reflect their more particular natures.   Vengence, for exampe, could have been a type of Rage demon, given he was created from Justice corrupted by Ander's anger.

I agree with OP maybe allow yourself to be possessed so your abilities are increased or something and one or two different dialogue choices throughout the game however that may end up being too much. (I don't negotiate with demons though)

That would be interesting actually; after all six years or so passed in DA2 so he would be around 16/17 in DA3 so he, if possessed, could be a compainion in DA3? Possessed mage right there, since in the epilogue of DAO he vanishes if you let the demon possess him.

Well personally I think demons are spirits, just extremes of the 'negative' sides. After all, Justice went batsh!t and he was apparently a good spirit. So maybe you could get one of the more intelligent demons, like Desire or Pride? Since pride is something everyone suffers from and they would be borderline Morrigan- valuing strength and power over compassion and love.

I think there is, they are just the 'labled' demons. As for male desire demons... how about this?

After all, demons don't really have a 'true' gender. They just switch forms to which they feel appeals to those they are attempting to seduce.

I don't think demons are super interesting in DA.
They just feed on humans and use different ways to achieve it.
That makes them boring for me , same with spirit wandering the fade with basically no clue about anything.

I wouldnt mind meeting a somewhat clever demon , that wants to do something else then feed or destroy .
Do demons ever wonder why they mindlessly try to cross the fade over and over again?

I mean i can understand they can be fun if you like to gamble , but I don't .
So i just kill them and move on .

Hm... from the title I thought this thread was going to be about something different. I agree with this though.

The use of demons as cannon fodder got a bit old in DA2. I would like to see more meaningful demonic encounters. I don't think they all have to involve deals of some sort, but the type of incident we saw during Repentance would be great; showing how demons can manipulate people, events, etc, which is the reason that they should be feared in the first place.

A few more demons sure, more abominations, no thanks. In origins mages where being slowly tortured so that they would give permission to be possessed, in DA2 a mage could sneeze and turn into an abomination.

If you were to include demons, please oh please can you give them voice acting like in DAO. It gave them much more personailty and made them more threatening. Oh and have them doing more interesting things like in the Circle Tower where the desire demon was enthralling the templar and you had the option of leaving them or killing them both.

I want demons who aren't obvious.
Ones that can actually trick the player's minds.

If there is the opportunity to make a deal with a demon again, I'd like to see that there is more at stake than just a a skill or attribute point. There has been quite a lot of emphasis on mages being backed into a corner and then turning to demons for aid because they don't see another way out. I think the choice to make a deal with a demon would be a lot more difficult when, say, the life of one of your companions (or even love interest) depended on it. Make a deal to save that person. I think that even for "good" characters the temptation would be far greater.

You're right about the voice acting, but we did have a couple of those scenes in DA2: during Wayward Son the abomination yells "you know nothing of magic," and during On the Loose Evelina-turned-abomination yells something about her children having all of Kirkwall to play in. There were also those talking Pride demons, but I don't know if those count in the way you suggest.

That scene with the Desire demon enthralling the templar was really well done, as were the options you had regarding it. A situation like that is a perfect opportunity for role play. There really needs to be more of those.
