Well. You can't make a terrorist/wife beater joke without offending a few people. 

Because it's not a joke and it isn't funny. Even us internet folk have limits. At least the decent ones that don't come across as violent sociopaths.

I think it's a pretty smart joke. Lots of people love the Anders character, even though he is a terrorist.

I just think it's pretty interesting that people are willing to overlook the whole terroist character flaw, and still see Anders as a good guy that deserves their love and forgiveness. Kinda like domestic abuse victims are willing to take the blame for their lovers sick behavior. Or like people falling in love with famous murderers - "sure he murdered all those people but he loves me, and that is all that matters". The joke makes you think.

I personally killed Anders in every playthrough except my renegade characters.

Your joke had nothing to do with terrorists. It was a joke about a victim of domestic abuse.
