When i first read that Dragon Age 3 will base on Frostbyte 2 engine, i was concerned. For me, DA always looked like a beautiful painting. The cel shading filter and the soft textures really deliver an unique expression. It simply looks so wonderful and artistic combined with the great art-design. Many people might feel it's to harmless and sweet, a bit girly like. I can tell you, i am a very manly man and i love it! :P

I just hope this style won't get lost with the new engine.

Anyone here thinks the same way?

I'm sure your concerns are baseless. Changing the engine doesn't change the artstyle. The two are independent of each other. Graphics and aesthetic aren't the same.

If the artstyle does change (though I'm fairly certain that Bioware staff have said they intend to keep it as-is), it will have nothing to do with the engine. It will be because they decided to change the artstyle for its own sake.
