I mean, if Anders and Leliana can escape death... Posted Image

It'd be pretty cool to see Duncan return as the Grey Warden party member. A mentor to the PC like Wynne was to the Warden, just less annoying.

Thoughts?

Anders and Leliana were choices.. that were ignored.

Duncan is a canon death.

..and that picture is horrific.

In Anders's case, at least it was explained.  Humorously and in-character.

(and Nate speaks for the player)

Aye Anders was explained away (I didn't like it, but it worked to a degree - solely because you never actually saw him die).

But Leliana.. now that's just a major case of a-wizard-did-it.

I wouldn't mind chowing down on Flemeth.

I mean exactly what I said.

I'd rather bring back Arl Howe, if only to have Tim Curry on the cast.

He died, and thus is dead. I don't want any more resurrection.

Or magic lyrium or magic dust did it, she doesn't have to reveal all her secrets does she?

Technically we never saw Duncan die ... using the George R.R. Martin rule, that means he's probably definitely alive.

Dead or alive, no thanks. He served his purpose and frankly, he was kind of boring anyway. Yeah he's got a past and all that stuff that was in The Calling, but meh.

Maybe she could shapeshift into something delicious. Like a pig or a cow. Dragonmeat is probably bland and tasting of "chicken".

Martin has more off-screen deaths and on-screen deaths which are reversed due to magic or wordplay than any author I know.

I hate Duncan. He forced my Cousland into become a Warden and killed an innocent man who was lured towards the Grey Wardens by false images of heroism that Duncan never set right it seems...

I hope he stays dead, I never felt much for his character, never really liked him, and always smile when he meets his end in the cutscenes. I am not kidding. I am glad he dies early, and I love to perform/let perform that Dark Ritual, just because I really like the idea that Duncan would never approve of it...it is like a middle finger in his face to survive and get the Love and kingdom in the end...Right of consription, yeah sure, my a....

When there is no body, anyone can come back in fiction.

And also the ones you decapitated yourself. Apparently.

How would you feel if Lucas created a new Star Wars movie and brought Obi-Wan Kenobi back from the dead?

Duncan died. It sucked, but he died. He died a boss. Let him go.

I support Duncan's return, if it's in the form of a bard holding a bone white skull with a broom glued to the jawbone, the teeth clicking as he moves it, all the while pretending to give you quests.

That actually works for me. Especially if the quest giver uses archaic language in so doing.
